<S> All Allied squads.
I think we actually pulled off the victory in the last two frames after three frames of Japanese stout defence.
The IJA never launched a CV strike as I had hoped, nevertheless our fighter groups kept great discipline and unnerved the enemy as our bombers didn't run in as they probably expected. When the 475th was sent out for a deep scout, the 352nd engaged and came out on top with minimal losses.
With a big part of the Japanese interceptors downed, our bombers moved in. We only lost a few and the 23rd did a solid job of making the enemy pay for it while keeping the majority of our B-29's safe.
The B-29's themselves did everything I could ask of them and closed both targets. Having the bombers continue some miles past the target and rehit it on the egress seems to be a viable tactic for sure.
Sending in late bombers for small hits on a field or shipping is probably not smart points-wise for future frames. It's minimal points gained while the enemy can score more points than if sinking a CV by killing the whole 4-ship of B-29's (32 points). Gameplay wise though it makes sure all bombers get to have some fun in the frame even if getting behind the main group.
End frame the enemy only sent a half-hearted kamikaze strike which was easily repelled. Probably smart of the IJA since we had a full CAP ready to greet them.
I'd like to thank all our squads for great cooperation, steely discipline and showing skill in outperforming the enemy.
<S> and thank you for a fun frame and series gentlemen. We probably won!
