Salute!

Buff air lurch at 10,3 will work, but ........ Looks like Jabo set a air lurch way south, too far. Too many minutes early, and lite escorts should get to us in 30 minutes or so from ground T/O seems to me.

Having trouble using Dawgers' command line doofer for offline air lurch, but will use the exisitng spawn coord and subtract a few grids of lattitudeto get prtoper timing.

With as many bombs as b-29 carries and the 75% fuel rule ( 6 hours of flight at 100%), I may try flying with less than full load by jetting some after takeoff.

Route and maybe DTF in the works. Dancing as fast as I can.

Thanks Gums! It will all come together at the last minute, after all, that's what the last minute is for. (LOL)

Gums flying a test run with the far away lurch and will adjust the grid to agree with showtime route.

Air Start at Iwo Jima for P-51s only? Do B-29s have remote air start, or are the buffs at Iwo Jima too?

Air lurch right over F188 works for the buffs.

Looks like that's our choice, air start at F188 or nothing.
How is the route planning going?

Salute!

For now, let's plan on the buffs heading west from F188 then north to 7,4,2 and about 27K there at T = 30, more or less.

Our IP will be 7,7,2 for the run in to the tgt.

I am till using the initial air lurch available last night, but may have a new one tonight and early Saturday.

Biggie for buffs will be all the tgts to hit with only 4 or 5 human buffs. We shall see.

Buff planning thread up later Friday nite.

In a previous event with no fuel min limits the B29s were able to get two sorties in against Japan during the frame without an airstart. Now with an airstart they probably can do the same but not fly like a rocket. That is the theory anyways. I have been known to be wrong.
