Couple of thoughts about our shipping, either we are going to be swatting fighters off strafing run or the Doodles will probably use the TBF. If they make ships a priority. Points summary isn't up so dunno which way the points will lean, ships vs land targets. Doodles will go for the easiest and most points in one sortie available so they could very well skip shipping and use the B29s to flatten half of Japan. God knows all the allied squads are clamoring to fly their precious ponies.

In any case LF 6 is leaning toward low level ops to protect shipping. I was just chewing on useful force allocation with this sudden time off I'm getting.

Heavy bombers are not allowed to strike in Naval Ops Area.

The only non-heavy bomber the Allies have is the TBF.

No B29's or B-24's this frame according to the rules.

Ah yes, I was thinking about the basing outside the ops area rule. Forgot about the next sentence.

Since the expectation is the enemy bombers will be low the 475FG will be in N1K1's for frame 1. We want to save our Ki84's and J2M's for high altitude B-29 killing.

There are no restrictions on aircraft flown. You could fly the J2m's every frame. If you are a confirmed kill in a J2m3, you can't fly that in the next frame, but you could fly the J2m2.

I will tell our guys to brush up on the N1K1.

Yes but I don't like my guys in mixed aircraft in S3 AND the N1K1 is the best low level bird we have. Of course the Allies could be sneaky and do another Naval Ops Area raid next frame.

Ki 84 is pretty good down low as well. The J2M is poorest choice down low but is actually faster than the Allied rides in the high thirties altitudes.

No problem Dawger, I just wanted to use it to show that the J2m3 and J3m2 are different aircraft for the confirmed kill rule.
