Well Warbirds seems to bring out the worst and the best out of all of us.. we'll move on without the DR's and eventually maybe the 475 will treat us all as valid players :) Doubt it. But Warbirds will go on because Wild Bill pays for it out of his own pocket and I know I can speak for him when I say there used to be a tad bit more tolerance between players than there is now.

I would recommend we all take a look in the mirror and smile, relax and realize we are all addicts and find a way to overlook some things that we don't like about others and appreciate what qualities each of us bring to the arena - because for now - we are it!

As far as last minute plans go, it has been a fact of warbirds life for awhile now and jumping down others throats about it is not going to help the matter IMO.

Relax - let's get back to having fun and supporting each other!

All flames will be redirected to the trash bin :)

PS: =dobs= You were always a very good guy - just think about it.

Besea, I love the idea, but because this is still an S3 event, the pilots of the 475th will, (to the best of our ability), carry out whatever orders the CO of the frame tosses at us. I strongly suspect that the AE's will do likewise, because I think your squad's long history in the game, (and in the S3) dictates it. We will follow those orders, for no other reason than our respect for the spirit of the S3. Our frame CO has shown nothing but disrespect to the rest of the community by his lack of planning, lack of dedication, and a general lack preparedness by his squad. We will respect "the big chair", but have no respect for the one occupying it - he hasn't earned any

As for an aircraft mismatch - maybe, maybe not. Both opposing fighter aircraft have an envelope where they are better than the other aircraft. We've been pretty much funneled into the layer where we start losing our advantage as the other side starts gaining theirs. I recall previous S3's where we have been assigned to a side which was deemed to have "superior aircraft". I didn't like the whining from the other side when our proper tactics resulted in a slaughter of their bombers, which in turn resulted in an increased buff tuff that prevented our proper tactics from being as effective. I didn't appreciate "other aircraft" being awarded to a complaining side, when in fact it wasn't an airframe matchup that was as fault, but rather an incorrect weapons file that a certain somebody inserted into the arena, (and still hasn't owned up to). So, I will not complain of a aircraft mismatch. In fact, the encounters have been both extremely challenging, and at times down right fun. One thing for sure... you realize you've made a huge mistake as soon as you glance at the altimeter and see 12k with those C200's coming down on you from your high 6! :)

PS: wieser, =dobs= is still a very good guy, unless of course you dislike honest assessments and straight talk, then he is intolerant, and arrogant.

I seem to remember last series, when we were killing Japanese butt, for frames 4 & 5 they mysteriously given better aircraft and their best aircraft, the Ki44, was listed as a 2nd line aircraft the scored triple points. Just wondering where our uber aircraft is?

There hasn't been a series of claims of biased, uber FM creation by Bluzoo, VNSLP, Idunno, Bollock et al against the Macchi

The funny part is that the P38G is one of the most accurate FM's with lots of effort to get it right while the Macchi 200 FM was created from about 5 data points in about 3 hours.

I did them both.

But the real goal of the complainers has been achieved. I won't be a part of a "team" where my integrity can be impugned without repercussion so FM progress will be significantly slower than before.

And that is exactly what they wanted to achieve. Preservation of the status quo.

Hey Dawger, I did not make any compliant against any of the FM changes. My comment was make a joke, attempt was made to balance the last series, but no attempt was made to balance this series. I, for one, appreciate all of the work that has gone into the flight models. <S>

But he used to be a fun loving good friend and now I sense he is struggling to even crack a smile - needs to roll with it IMO like many of us already do. :)

I am always interested in anyone's ideas. However, Darryl has posted orders for Frame 4, so if you have a different suggestion, I would post it in the Frame 4 order thread and maybe Darryl will bite. ;)
