T+30 - TOT 78 (drop bombs if visible and turn to 360-degree heading due to cloud cover)
(Start slow turn to the West and back around to F78 and search for targets - cloud cover won't be factor)
T+36 - TOT F78 and F79 for second pass before egressing to F80
T+39 - Over F80 at 15K turning to 91-degrees for straight shot to F124/F125
T+43 - Over 2,9x at 15K
T+52 - Over F89 (prepare to descend to airfields
T+56 - Landing

F86 3-steps of fighters (475th FG and RCAF 127)
Missions: Cover bomber group to 79/78/110
RCAF: May be needed to finish any remaining targets at each field with their upgraded Hurricane 2B.

Question:
The enemy will most likely attack 86/87/89. It is a short hop inside our territory. What are they most likely to do, in your opinion?

If they close 86 I would expect the frontline will move South for the next frame, which means we would lose the reopening and use of 138,116, 117 in frame 3.

Good points.

1. That is why I posted that our goal must be not only be to close their fields, but also to defend ours. We'll have to be ready to fight and kill their bombers.

2. F125 is nearby, if the bomber group needs to overflow to it. It won't hinder the group forming up.

Question:
Does anyone see a problem with this operation? Can all the fighters carry enough fuel? The RCAF can carry bombs, right?

Thanks <S>

Questions:

What time are bombers rolling? What is desired alt?
Where is rendezvous point? Is there a rendezvous point?

475th and RCAF are 40 miles from target area with a small detour...is RCAF dropping before or after the bombers? How much earlier do you expect 475th/RCAF to be in the target area ahead of the bombers based on them being that much closer than bomber fields and given your "route if flight"?

Based on distance for our sweep...how long will it take them to get ahead of the bombers to sweep? What is their target alt?

Which is priority....defend our bases or escort buffs? Are remaining fighters supposed to sweep or engage the enemy?

Observations: All fighters are isolated once again.

Please .have these questions addressed ASAP so the squadrons can reissue their orders and have a clear understanding of their roles, the allied priority for this frame, and a chance at success.

I think they would need to close our Large Fortification at 83 before they could move the front line. They did close 116, our other Large Fortification last frame.

The DAR map has errors, 138 and 117 are closed and would not provide DAR, however, DAR would be provided by 157, 139, 118, 119, 84, and 85.

Alright 1300 on Game day:

Unless our Frame CO overrides me here is what I have...

Priority is buff escort...buffers are Frame Co...so assuming that would be the correct answer.

Everyone Roll T+00.

DRs F124
B-25cs
Loadout: 6 x 500lb load out and fuel of 30% is what I test flew. No idea of actual load out....
Initial Climb Heading: 270
Initial Climb Speed: 135.
Initial Power setting: Boost 1
Expected Climb Rate at power setting: 1600fpm.
Initial Checkpoint altitude: 5k, then 90% throttle unboosted for fuel and formation purposes.
Expect 10k by f88
Expect 14k by f86.
Rejoin will be near F89 and Bombers should call F89 so escort can time the turn.
Distance is roughly 30 miles.

RCAF F86
Hurri II's
Load Out: 2 bombs and 100% fuel
Initial Climb Heading: 090
Initial Climb Speed: 140.
Initial Power setting: Boost 1
Expected Climb Rate at power setting: 2700fpm.
Initial Checkpoint altitude:10k, then 90% throttle unboosted.
Expect 12k by 3 Vertical line. 16k by F8.
Rejoin will be near F89 and Bombers should call F89 so you can time your turn back to West.

475th F86
Hurri I
Loadout: 100% fuel
Initial Climb Heading: 090
Initial Climb Speed: 140.
Initial Power setting: Boost 1
Expected Climb Rate at power setting: 2700fpm.
Initial Checkpoint altitude:10k, then 90% throttle unboosted
Expect 12k by 3 Vertical line. 16k by F8.
Rejoin will be near F89 and Bombers should call F89 so you can time your turn back to West.

23rd (F144) and AE (F158)
Hurri I
Loadout: 100% fuel.
Initial Climb Heading: 360
Initial Climb Speed: 180.
Initial Power setting: Boost 1
Expected Climb Rate at power setting: 2700fpm.
Initial Checkpoint altitude:10k, then 90% throttle (unboosted) for formation and fuel purposes.
Adjust Climbspeed to 160 passing 10k.

23rd--Rejoin will be near F86. If early, do a right 270 and then head West to Rendevous with AEs.

AEs--Rejoin will be 10 west of F86 with 23rd. Push out along route of flight as sweep when in mutual support of each other. Stay East of the 2 vertical line and you should be OFF DAR.

We should be within 10 miles of each other when we turn NW to pick up target line....Bombers plus all fighters.

Fighters
Recommend a Hard Deck of 14k.

Bombers
Don't send AI down to strike.

Strengths: We are en-mass!
Weakness: We have no Defense.

Sortie 2 to 110 is on the fly since we don't know what we will have left.

Dobs
