First off I would like to thank everyone for the outstanding effort put out! Everyone stuck to the plan and we had great success.

I was hoping to close 138 this frame and maybe damage 117. Well, we did more than that by closing 138, 117 and 116! while the AL didn't close anything.

Escorting was superb, buff's did a great job. Still not sure why Hawk is the one that gets shot at the most  Our fighters coordinating between themselves really showed how to work together.

Observations:
1 - We kicked butt down low. We need to keep the Buff's below 15K, maybe 12K.

2 - Fighters with bombs are deadly. They almost single-handedly close 117 with just a few bombs from cool, zin and myself cleaning up.

3 - Currently the AL fighters are not working together. This shocked me. Coming in piecemeal was disastrous for them. I NEVER expected that from the 23rd and the 475th.

4 - Frankly, I do not understand what the DR did. They bombed 3 fields and did minimal damage to each. I mean minimal. I am not sure if they were trying to goat us into a fight or what. I will need to see the S6 to maybe understand.

Hopefully, there is not a lot of whining in the CO forum. It appeared a good matchup the Allies just didn't execute anything meaningful either on the Buff side or the Fighter side.

Again, Thanks for letting me lead the frame! I really do enjoy doing it.

MuskieZZ,

Like always, it was a pleasure supporting you. I guess I have this one big target on my back that says kick me. Learning how to use the AI's has been taking some time but I think we are getting a handle on it.

It does take more coverage but we had that and the escorts did a GREAT job. I even hit some GVs that I saw rolling from 117 so not sure if we will get credit for them.

Great plan and GREAT escorts makes for a great frame!

Some issues were the HE-111 torque is brutal and still needs to be looked at.

DTF's don't work within the CA bomber setting.

Salute!

Ciao!

I tink the DR split up and hit different tgts.

I was bounced near F110 while trying to get back with the Knights.

With a gorilla like the DR, I would use MA tactics and level one tgt after another all night. Two good escort/sweep units and voila!

Sorry I got hosed at 110, but took one with me.

And the torque/p-factor and such is way too much for most armchair pilots or even real ones in a plane with those numbers.

I agree with MuskieZZ, Don't get too much above 12k ft with your bombers. The Macchi doesn't like the air above 15k. Escorts can better protect our big guys below 15k where we can engage WEP and compete with the hurricane.

I saw Hawk get jumped by Dobs and the 475th. You looked like you were pretty high and alone at the time. Your escorts were all below you at 12k or so at the time.

4FG followed the plan as lead by Robert. We were definitely most effective at 15k or below. Third sortie we took bombs to help close 117. Found all AAA down by the time we got there but the number of other hard targets was much larger than reported. Had yo locate the DAR antenna away from the field and had trouble seeing the parked Hurries that were supposed to be keeping it open. Thanks to a full group press 117 was closed just prior to last drop time. Thanks to Robert for a great job at prepping us in unfamilar AC. <S>
