Hello All!
So I am taking frame 1 (if no one objects) and have a few thoughts. Problem is, these are rides I know nothing about so need some feedback.

I am thinking have the buffs hit F138 at 10K~15K (not sure the optimum height) with 250Kg bombs first strike. If possible, also hit Port 140 but closing 138 is priority.

Then (if 138 is closed) second sortie F117.

Plan on flying all fighters in a big wing. I hate to do it but the other side will be so we need to counter.

What I need to know if someone can help,

1 - how long for the HE111 to get to 12K?

2 - HE111 speed at 12K?

3 - Optimum Fighter Alt?

4 - Fighter guys thought on their plane matchup?

This information would be helpful

Thanks guys!

C. 200 is a new bird the fighter jocks will need to get used to and wrangle out to find the finer points in performance. That said preliminary flying reveals general characteristics that are favorable in a knife fight. It is fairly stable even with torque tendencies and is extremely maneuverable. Speed is good for the time period with an edge to the Hurricane in altitude performance. We will have to fear the Hurri guns as well. 8x 303s vs 2xSAFAT peashooters is no contest. The SAFATs work in close, trouble is they will also be in close. Don't know how much damage we could do against B-25s. In general your fighter support will be better at medium to low alts and given time to fight the enemy off as opposed to high speed chases seen in late war Europe scenarios.

111s will be much better in the medium alts. Time to climb alone will probably negate high altitude attempts. Bombs are okay, with the 1800kg party maker that will devastate compact targets. Our bombers will be more the experts here in performance with new revisions.

I have a few days off this weekend to compare performance.

Ciao!

Due to numbers, the Nomads will fly with the Knights for this series.

This does not mean we can't have two flights of buffs that hit two targets.

Secondly, don't rule out that DO17.

My 2 cents.
Unless you can hit the B25 pilot in the head there's no way for the single fighter to take out a B25.
Focus on killing the fighters then swamp buffs with multiple fighters.

As for hurricane vs C200 firepower the one thing that will be different from when we used ki43s is that the C200 has "some" pilot armor.
The C200 will not be as much of fa PK magnet as the ki43 is, so slight advantage there.
Maneuverability will let you stay on a hurricane in a twisty fight and you have more ammo.

I'll do a run tonight and see how long it will take to get to 15k. I am not sure the 250kg bombs will work. We used 500's last time in the B25 and the targets laughed at us, but will give it a go.

Good point Herr Gums, however I do believe we have to use 111s(SM 79) until the Germans decide to kick in the door. The we have a lot better plane options including much more capable fighters.

I need to know where we are lifting from?

I took 50% (probably to much) fuel with 250kg and 135 climb speed, using BST 1 and BST2 and it took 22 mins to get to 15k.

I would suggest that the Germans can kick in the door all they want, but if Lady Luck doesn't happen to smile, then everyone is in the Frame 1 aircraft for the duration.

"Maybe" it is one d6 dice roll per SIDE at the end of each Frame. "Maybe" it is one dice roll per Squad at the end of each Frame. In either case, it could be that only a specific subset of the "side" ever gets any "reinforcement" at all. We will have to learn what this actually means in regard to "POSSIBLE" reinforcement aircraft.

That's exactly what I meant we have to use the Macchis until fate intervenes and Jabo won't roll until we start losing ground after frames.
