S3 Series

Greetings All! This frame will be a knockout match with us having a decent chance attacking some P-40's. Those B-24s will be a tough act if spotted and will be escorted by high 38's with P-40s trying to be out front lower to entice us into the low fight while the 38's pounce us trying to keep us busy while the buffs get a free run to the base. My plan is for us to have elements so we can continue to move in waves after initial contact with the P-40s this will make them commit to the fight and once the 38's drop down wave 2 will commence. If we are good on the odds during the fight wave 3 will be put in a hold above the fight or continue with the buffs. Make no doubt about it I want to destroy the fighters as I am sure the B-24s will shred us. If we clear the fighters we will setup south of bomber group and prep for a HEADON pass through the Buffs trying for the PK. Comms will be crucial and I will run GCI so everyone can fly. Yes things change on the fly I know this so we will make changes as needed.

LF6/4th F-7 plane of choice - Head South towards 11.10X further orders to follow after launch.
23rd F-36 plane of choice - Head to 8.11X and go no further east of the 10.10 box further orders to follow after launch.
8th/AEs F-17 plane of choice - Head to 8.10X then turn east go no further than 10.11 box further orders to follow after launch.

I would advise to take drop tanks. My goal is to keep everyone close so no squad gets stuck with no help. We know they have to attack east of the 6 line so whoever is near will be wave one. We should be good on the field steps if not let me know or if there is any heartburn post it.

It's going to be a challenge to take B24s down with low ammo count on the few 20mms we do have and the amount of Otto weenies.

Robert sir you have a tac channel LF6 can jump on? I was thinking LF6 can stay mid alt with the 4th shadowing us at higher alt that way we can keep an eye out for lower strikers. LF6 will mostly take the TOJO again.

Let us use channel 6 sir. Sounds like a good idea, will inform bombr- to see if he approves. Just be sure to give warning in the buffer in advance + specific location so we know where to assist. A .vor reading from nearest field would serve well unless grid location is known

I know Juggo that's why I stated if the call is to be made I will do my best to line up a headon pass with the buffs. I want all the enemy fighters destroyed!

Traditionally the B25s have been a very tough target for the IJ aircraft but in Frame 4 a number were shotdown by Ki44s. So I would think the B24s though tough will not be as hard as in previous events. Otto will be more of a challenge but even 4 heavy machine guns can do them sever damage on a nice pass.
