Konnichiwa!

I was tardy to Frame 1, but soon found that we were decimated by half before I even rolled (T+80ish).

My main idea is this...our small force will operate NO FURTHER than 1 grid from each other. For the limited time I was on, it looked like the Allies were staggered in their attacks on our fields. What we must do is overwhelm their attack with our entire gruppe and GTFO before their other assets can assist. Then rinse and repeat. If we can manage to eliminate and repel one attack group, that will disrupt their plan later in the frame. It would be much more sweet If it happens to be a jabo 38s. Much easier said than done...(cliche, I know). But that will be how I approach our plan. Open for suggestions.

I suspect by Wednesday, we will learn that the Allies will go for Rabaul. I need to look at the map closely for basing and how best to repel attacks.

A majority of our force will be in 2nd line fighters - A6M3 or Ki44s.

Open for discussions and suggestion.

"My main idea is this...our small force will operate NO FURTHER than 1 grid from each other." Smart!! Also, when those P38's hit 42 with the Mosquitoes, did they come in NOE? Seems like I never saw them on dar til they were right on the base. Or was dar coverage that bad that we don't see them til they're on it? We needed to have a few planes at our airfields,42 was deserted when they closed it. Maybe #s had something to do with that, not sure.

Thats inflight arrows or dots that is turned off. Regular field RDF works out to 30 miles. Same for the Allied coastwatchers near your fields as well which allowed the Allies to spot you near their targets.

The mossies *cough* "Beaufighters" were indeed low. When I typed in the axis radio chanel, it looked like a zoom climb and then a strafing run. Watched the bounce from the tower..nice job

JABO posted this on Thursday ... It should be safe to say the raid was not called.

I like the big wing idea this series. The only way to knock those 38s out is with a 2 to 1 advantage. Those things are fast and tough. I know we put lots of rounds in those guys only to watch them pull away. Their second pass on 42 was the usual 352nd moto low an high. We need to be ready with 3 waves if we are going to engage the enemy. Did anyone get a shot at the 24s? If so what was their gunners like and buff tough. 23rd is standing by for orders and ready to get revenge!
