I am sorry to hear that we are now officially one squad less.
Reading the history of the Haze and Warbirds was interesting.
I bought my first computer in 1998 with the introduction of Windows 98 so that I could fly Microsoft Flightsim.
Sometime shortly thereafter I found out about Warbirds and down loaded the program and was blown away by the flight models and "realism".
I tried to fly on-line but could not overcome the limitations of my dial-up modem and the hourly cost (IIRC). I continued to fly offline with Warbirds 2.71 (?R#). Then the online arena seen to go grey. Only 3 or 4 years ago, I wondered what ever happen to WB online. After downloading the game and getting a 2 week trial I was hooked, and there was no looking back.
It amazes me how you guys persevered in slow internet days (and had fun). Thanks for that legacy which makes Warbirds so much fun today.
