With only 2 frames left I say we rape the shipping lanes. I mean REALLY rape the shipping lanes...........DRs, Nomads, and NS's all fly PE2's (Mossie VIs). Divide the freighter areas up and hit them hard before they know what is happening. Freighters only, scatter like roaches once done. They can't catch everyone.

Sounds like fun, especially since there's nothing we can do to catch up. The Doolittle's Raiders would be up for flying the Mossie VI to kill ships.

Nomads don't mind using F25, just another ten minutes or less to northern targets at the speed the Mossie flies, especially if we go at medium altitude for half the run, descend for attack and RTB high..

Problem will be the Knights closing that field from F21.

Gums,

Can you run 2 sorties to the N targets from 25? Shipping between 192 and 291 would be another option from 25.

No problem, Zipper.

The Mossie is as fast or faster than most of the LW planes, and we'll make a run or two Friday afternoon toget the times nailed down.

Second, our steps at F190 and F25 are limited, so looks like the big fighter outfits are gonna have to split up to satisfy the step limits at the available fields.

The DR lites can use a small field, but all we twin-engine pukes have to use a medium field. What do you think, Darryl?? Dew? 'rana? other strikers?

Finally, the only ships I could find last night were the ones associated with ports. So even using the offline mode after loggin to S3 was a problem due to the acks. Nevertheless, I could sink a boat with a 500 pounder if my aim was good and didn't blow myself up, heh heh.

the mossie is faster.. but not when they are diving on you from 30000ft or whatever they fly at

either go low and hope you aren't spotted or with at least about 10k so you can shallow dive out and keep them at bay.
once you are both down on the deck, you will out run them

maximum boost on the mossie only works up to about 10,000ft anyway

O.K., Nomads and anyone else in the Mossie can get there in 30 minutes or slightly less. Figure 10 minutesw on target, then RTB high and fast. About 25 minutes. So total time for one mission should be about an hour or 70 minutes.

The acks at 291 and F77 are pesky, but what the hell.

We flew at 15K until 20 miles south of the target area, then came down. RTB was 15 - 20K and FAST!!!

So two missions seem logical if any of us survive the first mission.

If we are going for ships than I hope there is step room (1) for us from either 190 or 25. I would like to go deep deep to the 1,0 grid.

Salute Dew!

I think there's enuf room at F25 for Stalkers and Nomads to get to the 1,0 grid boats.

Gotta stay far enough south to avoid DAR, but I still think we can all get there 230 minutes from takeoff, then RTB and repeat.
