S3 Series

We are into another new terrain, Sicily. This features the allied invasion in summer of 1943.
Still working on it but it should be uploaded sometime this week for testing before the event which runs May 3, May 17, May 24, May 31 and June 7.
This is a true 1:1 scale terrain so all the fuel adjustments should work well in here with a fuel setting of 1.0

Tentative sides are up. Please let me know if there are any issues with your assignments.
We may have some new variants of a/c or completely new a/c types so the planes are not finalized.
Historical deployment issues etc should be pointed out now.

Gums can correct me if I am wrong but he has posted several times the Nomads are not flying as a single unit. Some are flying with the UMM and some with the KoN. That being said, not sure if you want to put all the buff's on the AX side or not since right now the Nomad "squad" is going to be split.

Also, pretty sure you are not putting the UMM in Kates and Vals again are you?

If the nomads are no more I think I need the component parts to let me know.

Gofly and Gums wish to keep our original squad identity for various reasons. But we are truly Nomads, or maybe mercenaries.

I shall go to the CO forum and come up with something. Also have to talk with Nofly about his "side" preference. Ours has been whoever needed buffs.

For the next series, looks like 3 Nomads will fly Allied with the Movers ( Pd, Gums and Gundoc). Gofly will likely fly Axis with the Knights, but that is his call.

Ist,I never left the Nomads and the last time I checked S6 scores PD and Gundoc had left and were part of UMM! But,regardless, I'm all for flying as the 4 Vagabonds again---will see ya n CO channel!

RCAF 417 flew the Spit VIII during this time. I see two American aircraft under our ride list.

Planes are tentative not sure if there will be a Spit VIII but there may be other types of P40s etc. Still in development and no specifics so it may be the usual rides.

Jabo, the 23rd FG is listed in the first link as 'axis fighter' and the second link as flying allied planes. We would prefer to be in our historical ride (the P40) and we still have many ex-31st FG aviators who would love to be a part of the invasion of Sicily (per history). Please consider....we will of course, fly what is needed.

Again their may be other P40s coming out or not in time for this event. So all planes are tentative until we get a better idea what may be available from the plane group. Some historical corroboration would be great on the list though.

Why can't the UMM and Nomads fly together and have the tradiitonal rides like B-25 and such?

Big buffs seem a bit much. I also can not fathom Kates and Vals for the UMM. Hmmm....
