Naw, I was unsure how much time I had to land it before I burned up. As I was skidding in, I was pushing down on the stick to stop before I ran out of island. I didn't realize there was a little dip in elevation, and I was still doing about 100mph. I went airborne a second, and pushed it into the ground to hard. <S>

One of the "updates" in the last year came out with a sound event attached to an engine kill that plays the huge explosion. When the explosion occurs just as one happens to pass the aircraft, and it is out of view, the explosion sound makes the "killer" believe that he blew-up the airplane, not just killed the engine. That might be a good thing to "fix" one of these days.

Volume slider fixes it

Second Sortie from 475th. Lost the first one due to Action Freezing up. Second one recorded on Nvidia Shadow play. Need to fix the resolution to 1080p, and knock the fps done to 30 from 60 (file size), but other than that it worked fine.

Which slider is it?
Did not see one called "engine kill"

It is truly annoying.
But I may have used it to my advantage in frame 3 when my engine got shot out at 20k early in the engagement. I'm sure he though I was dead, but was able to land dead-stick, re-plane, and RTB. (I can still hear him saying, "but where's my kill")

That would have been me "but where's my kill" Pretty much what I was saying. Went back and watched acm and saw that you must have glided back after putting out fire...
