Neg squatch sir, endurance at 0.75 fuel multiplier is only 78 minutes with droptank at 100% throttle.
As such, I think we must not launch the fighters to early on the strike sortie. (Maybe make a forward sweep sortie to reduce IJN numbers, then RTB re-arm for a 2nd sortie escort mission? Meanwhile the TBD's can climb.)

Cheers! :-)

Just a quick reminder to the TBD pilots,
After take off, fly from the "Y" bomber position is the same as a B17/B24. Put it on auto-climb and it will stay on even when turning.

Fighter concern:

The only time hack I see is T+77 at the end of the mission. The F6Fs that happen to take off at T=0 won't have enough fuel to make the landing pattern if that happens to be accurate.

Time hacks:

i1 - T+16
i5 - T+ 30
Target T+47
Back Home T+77

line back home is divided into 10 mile segments.. 3 minutes per segment they are numbered 1-8 but count them as 0 - 9 and 3 minutes per segment.. 47+30 = 77

I wish there was a way to make big fonts in the DTF

Second time I'm seeing this concern.. Robert stated that the total flight time for F6F is 76 minutes.. If you need bomber route shortened please say so soon.

^^^
That's "76" minutes IF one does not have the necessity to engage prior to depleting the DTs.

well you guys have forward sweep duty so I hope nothing of your plans depends on the buffs. at least for the first sortie.

To fighter groups who are with us remember we cruise at 180mph. so if you do stay with us then you are not going to be at 100% so I'd expect there is some leg room.

Unless I hear something like "Bomber route is too long.. needs to be shortened by xxx minutes" the route stays.

Timing is everything, going in one pc at a time allows the enemy to fight us in detail

* If full mission time is ~80 minutes, will there be a second strike if the first one goes fairly well?
*There's plenty of time, and we can have 2nd bombload on target at T+140 or T+150 if pee-breaks needed. just launch the same mission twice.

* If only 1 strike will be launched this frame, I'd strongly suggest a full fighter forward sweep and then launch the escort + strike as the fighters 2nd sortie (TBD's can start climbing off DAR while fighters are RTB).
*We do have the advantage up high and I believe we shouldn't risk ending the frame at T+40 if we can improve the odds for a succesful strike-run by reducing the IJN's numbers first.

My 4 cents
