Greedy Frame 5 commander request.

If possible I would like to see us close down 206 256 & 67 in the north west.
closing down that area for frame 5. But I would want Hawk to chime in on the best way to use the JU88s... are they meat on the table in a bomb group? what tactics will work best for you... what type of escort/sweep.

(just throwing out ideas)

Jabo,
.....what does MOB mean on the map?

Main Operations Base. IF the field that you are originally based from happens to close, your Squad MUST move to the MOB for further operation.

7. Squad Basing - each airfield type has a limited number of squad steps it may base during a frame. Squads are assigned a homebase for the entire frame and must not use any other base during the night unless it is to refuel and then proceed back to their homebase to replane. If a squad homebase is closed all pilots not stuck in the tower must fly to the Main Operations Base(MOB - F28 & F21) and conduct operations from there for the rest of the night. Any pilots stuck in the tower are done for the night.

Jabo,

Will 213 and 233 have DAR? We closed them frame 3, will they be destroyed before frame 4 starts?

9. Closed Fields - field locations closed during play will remain so for the series until occupied by the opposing side at which time they are active again for the new owners. They also score points but should not be the focus of attacks for this alone as there are easier ways to score points.

Haze has P-39's and yaks left to fly. Would like to save the yaks for last frame so maybe give us a small base or ships to hit with the P-39's. Rock.

Ok got it....may have some 4thmen able to fly LA5, or Yaks(4-5).The rest will be in P-39Q.
Since we and 352nd are largest fighter squads, may have to use our P-39s for buff cover(down low).
If enough men able to fly LA-5 show, will have them as high cover.
I will be on TS(4th horseback channel) Thurs Nite(25 Sept) at 2100 hrs EST.
We can discuss who will do what then ......?

F206 and F256 is doable with the Ju-88s' If we can go alt but once again, need the escorts to cover us. We can dive and runaway fast but have fewer bombs. We can carry only 4 bombs so coordination is a must. If I know the base we will be at, I can do a test run. Of course keeping out of radar range is a must but the playing field is getting smaller and think they might know what will be hitting.

One way to extend the every compressing battlefield is to send some of the faster P39s way out west hunting for ships and Ju52s flying out troops. Forces the Axis to cover way out there or loose too many points. P39s also may be a good one to cover AI IL2s near the front at lower levels with higher YAKs covering the bouncing axis.

Ships need to go down. I may have missed some of the dumbo IL2 attacks on the moving ships so will count them at the end of the night before they unload. As you get closer to Sevastopol and Simferopol look for fleeing Axis transport planes taking off and heading west over the sea, easy targets there and will force the Axis to move to protect them, freeing up airspace over closer targets.
