It appears that ships can be straffed down, so no need for anyone to go heavy.

Luftflotte 6 - F8 - Aircraft of choice - Defend the area near your field, there should be lots of shipping that you can attack, straffing them should be effective. Please provide GCI for JG475 as they are close to you.
JG475 - F207 - Aircraft of choice, though I might suggest the FW109A1. Please defend your area and watch for shipping targets of opportunity. Please coordinate with Luftflotte 6.

JG23 - F6 - Aircraft of choice - Defend your field and the light fortifications at 252 and 260. Please coordinate with the American Eagles as they are just south of you to start.
JGAE(?) - F255 - Aircraft of choice - Coordinate with JG23 in defense of Northern assets

Luftflotte 127 - F220 - FW190A1 - Be prepared to defend our shipping near Sevastapol or move North or East to assist either side. Also expect IL2 attacks on the shipping or Sevastapol itself.

This frame, our targets should be their shipping and the IL2 AI groups.

Any comments or questions, please feel to post. I always welcome other suggestions.

Since we are an all fighter opposition here's an idea of performance differences in WB in an all out drag race:

*"Max Speeds" are where the engine taps out, there is some acceleration, but its so minimal to make a major difference.

*Achieved with max boost settings. All a/c except the La-5FN employ the old 1 stage "WEP" available at all altitudes. La-5FN has a mean Boost 2 but only to 5k ft and 2min so if one can stay alive long enough you will start to pull away, barely. No boost for the La-5 above 18,000ft. The Fw 190A-1 overheats quickly so if you cannot get away quickly it will spell trouble.

*All loads standard w/ 50% fuel. Speeds TAS.

As you can see altitude is life for us in this event, unfortunately, the points are all down low. Strongly suggest any strike forces or AI engagements be speedy and with a well established defense line ahead of them so when trouble calls they have time to escape and climb.

Also of note, the La-5FN with more elevator authority in the FM can pull some pretty wicked about faces if flown in the envelope well. Be weary, especially if you are in his lift vector. This is also a detriment as hamfisted pilots can easily over G. I spiked it to 13G tooling around without paying attention. Oddly enough though, no black out occurred or a wing off light indication :roll: .

Expect to see small groups of IL2s sneaking in to hit targets at realistic altitudes. Dont camp in one area though as they will be spread out and coming from the general directions indicated on the PDF. You have friendly shipping off the west and southeast coasts of Crimea to defend and a invasion force of small ships crossing the Kerch Strait in the east. These should be attacked with strafing and jabo runs when possible and or clear.

That is great info, I was just wondering what the speeds were at 3,000m

23rd copies. AE we will be in 109G6s and will have our GCI post on TAC 23. I will let you know our game plan at beginning of Frame due to numbers, we may send a element closer to you guys for support.

Thanks for the info Sassy.

However, the LW directive will be hard to apply unless we can strafe shipping from 3km :D

Not to mention, I am sure the Ill 2's will be at 1km (or around there)
