The bombers were let loose to do their thing, in frame 5. We believed, rightfully so, that the Axis needed to hit behind our frontline to pick up the victory this series and would be less likely to put much effort attacking our bombers.
After closing L92, L93, and L91, I notified the frame CO that we were executing Plan A, which meant the bomber group would head north to hit L89 and L74.
We lost only one bomber to enemy fire, but it was because of disco that his loss was credited to the enemy.
Our youngest pilot (11 yrs. old), experienced his first S3. He flew in the formation, dropped his bombs on target and made a safe landing at L26.
