Honourable Warriors!
The hour of the Allied invasion is upon us. They have already landed on the east coast of the Lingayen Gulf, establishing two beachheads (F43/44) and capturing the port at San Fernando (F56). Troops from these beachheads are expected to head north, east and south, threatening our territorial holdings.
Additional landings along the south coast of the Gulf are expected shortly. If the Americans stick to their habits, a shore bombardment by several battleships will most likely occur before the LSTs disembark their troops. The landings will also be supported by USN aircraft operating off their CVEs NW of the Gulf, as well as possible bomber or fighter aircraft flying out of Mindoro.
Likely Allied lines of advance are illustrated below. Note that last night a bombardment by American ships destroyed out radar station at Dasol Bay (F67).
What is left of our Special Attack forces will focus on the landing craft and battleships. They are but a few tired A6M2s, but will attack with honour!
Your mission. Delay the Allies capture of our territories. Destroy landing transports before they disembark their troops, destroy allied aircraft before they attack our ground installations, destroy mechanized infantry columns before they reach and overwhelm our defences. Attack Allied (AI) naval units and (static) shipping offloading troops at their beachheads (F43/44/56).
Axis will score points for sinking AI anywhere and sinking static shipping at F43/44/56. No points for sinking static shipping at F57 if it falls into Allied hands. Destroying GVs does not score points, but if GVs reach their objectives they will score points for the Allies.
Destroying landing craft will prevent they from disembarking troops.
Fighters are available from all airfields. Attack and bomber aircraft are only available at Clarke Field (F1) or Formosa (F26)
Good luck
