Both sides sunk 2 carriers, but for the IJN, at a huge cost. They lost 37 Zekes and 8 bombers. This compared to USN losses of 9 fighters and 15 bombers. Wildcats went 4:1 victory to loss ratio, plus 3 AI.

A bit odd the kill credit comes through at the same time as his landing, also a bit odd it shows him being captured after a safe landing!
Perhaps Docgxx could explain it?
