Initial basing:
Luftflotte 6(JG51/TK) F53 2 buff pilots
4th - F60 + 3 buff pilots
23rd - F68 + 2 buff pilots
Buffs- F50 load out will be 2x1000kg , 2x500kg unless told otherwise
Our main thrust will be on 116 , 103 and Field 55 to start with. Goal is to hit/close 116/103 and hit F55 with bombers then have gv’s contest and capture later in the frame. If all works well first sortie the plan is to return to F55 for closure and possible capture later in frame.
Weather: I have not received the updated weather forecast yet, but it is leaning to possibly lighter clouds I’m told.
First Sortie:
Buffs: Target 103,116 and Field 55
Buff drivers should be familiar with the targets, or even make a practice run off line.
I need 2 volunteer buff drivers from Luftflotte 6 and 2 from the 23rd, with 3 from the 4th.
Sleepy will lead the buffs for the first sortie, buffs based at Field 50. Targets are outposts 103 and 116 following onto Field 55 then beat feet back to base. Preferred altitude is 25k plus on the run in and for drop if clouds are dispersed. Sleepy will call it. If we have 7 buffs up, some or all buffs will be told to drop 2 bombs on their assigned target(103 or 116) and 2 on F55. Survivors, and/or replacements, will launch a second attack on Field 55. Sweep and escorts will be provided. Stay fast! **RTB F50**
Luftflotte 6- Based F53 - Target Outpost 102
Take heavy Fw190’s and climb West or at least off their radar until I give you the go ahead to break radar E of 53. Continue East, then South to drop on 102. The idea is to pull as many Allieds N towards you as possible as a type of feint for our Ju88’s. I will keep you informed of radar and either have you run in so far, jettison bombs and run West or continue the attack on Outpost 102 and run home. Try not to engage if possible. If you are told to jettison head West off of radar then South off radar to meet up with the buffs for reception escort.
4th - Based F60 - Light Fighters
Sweep ahead of buffs/escort duty. Grab off radar. I want all escort/sweep at 30k+ on ingress, turning into close escort as engaged. Will keep you apprised of the radar picture and timing of sweep. Second sortie will be determined from results of first sortie. Buffs will be coming in from due West of 116/103.
IF the Allies take 74 again at some point, I would like the 4th to repeat last frames performance closing and or capturing it since you folks are familiar with the field layout.
23rd - Based F68 - Light Fighters
Feint like you are supporting LF6 up North, then Escort duty. Climb N to 3,11 box until off radar, then head SW off radar towards buffs…West of 3,10x. Grab to 30k+. Rendezvous with buffs and escort them.
Second sortie may be similar as the first for all pilots depending upon the results of the first sortie… including another buff run, most likely to F55 from 50.
I am staying in tower for GCI for at least the first sortie and probably the beginning of the second sortie.
Questions or mistakes I made
?
Good Luck!!!
