Spent a lot of time typing up my first post on the first frame preliminary planning and when I went to submit it, the site logged me out and I lost it all. I was so aggravated by it that I walked away from the computer until now....

Let's get some preliminary ideas out to chew on...

Possible Goals
1. Defend our radar and kill all incoming.
2. Strike their radar at C1 and F68 to allow us to get a little closer to the island in subsequent frames.
3. Go all out and close F6 and F18, IF we can get those bases to utilize in subsequent frames.
4. Just keep hitting the multitude of targets at C1, IF we can ever get the point summary posted and the point values make it worth it.

These are some ideas. What do you think about them or any combination of them, or something totally new?

I had a lot more written in the post that was deleted, but this summarizes it, I think.

If we want to strike C1 or the radars, we can base the bombers at F85 and allow them to climb off radar to altitude, while the fighters can be based all along the coast to sweep for incoming during the time the bombers are climbing. We can arrange an RP once the bombers are ready to go in. This won't give us many bomber sorties during the night.

A combination?

Bombers (DR, Nomads) with 352nd escorting could make strikes.

Fighter groups (23rd, Luft 6, and 8th) guard our radar installations.

Remember each side has an airstart field at the back of the lines. That may allow you more sorties in a frame. Also you could take Ju87s from a forward field hit targets and then use your last two bomber lives from the airstart fields. I found that the first initial sortie is the toughest with the enemy airborne and ready and no significant losses to the defenders yet. Force them out of spitfires early and then come in higher when they are in hurris. Just an idea. I am senile and retired so take it for what its worth.

Defend radar as a priority.

Close F6 and F18 if possible, not many targets at each. Ack may be an issue, don't know.

They have too many radars to bother trying to blind them.

Bombers need to loiter at altitude off dar and wait until the best time to run in.

Don't forget about the airstart field.

We don't know the point values of targets, so we can't bank on winning a frame with points at this time.

My 23rd cents worth.

I also like jabo's thinking on this one...Also you could take Ju87s from a forward field hit targets and then use your last two bomber lives from the airstart fields. I found that the first initial sortie is the toughest with the enemy airborne and ready and no significant losses to the defenders yet. Force them out of spitfires early and then come in higher when they are in hurris.

I apologize for the missing point summary information.
We are working on that and since this is new it takes longer. Please be patient and pray the ghost of Jabo looks favorable on us mere mortals.

Thanks fellas. OK, here's the plan.

First Sortie:
1. We base all the fighters at forward bases to get a fast grip on airspace around F6 and F8.
2. We base the bomber group at a forward base in Ju87s to make a fast strike at F6 and F8.
3. We park a fighter squad over the area while the rest RTB. (We maintain cover over the area the whole night.)
4. We return to either finish F6 and F8 or start hitting targets at C1 or RADAR.

List of bases along coastline: 50, 51, 52, 54, 9, 55, 8, 11, 24

Question: How much is the max fuel time our fighters have? How much time can you stay aloft?

Second Sortie:
1. Send a fighter squad to search for any attack on our RADAR.

PLEASE OFFER IDEAS OF HOW TO TWEAK THIS PLAN. THANKS.
