Something I've been pondering as well: Say we close 2 locations ( I hate saying fields when they aren't ) on the same road. From what I understand, the result at end of frame would be the first location down the road from an open friendly location would be captured but the second one further down the road wouldn't. The second would turn friendly at next frame's end unless they closed the previously captured location.
Made that as short and understandable as possible...I hope!
Is the correct????

I should clarify that if you have more than one closed field they do not nullify each other. So if you close two locations and they lead back to an open allied location both are then captured for next frame. The roadrail net are the light and dark brown lines on the map. Some locations are pretty close to each other and a judgement call has to be made if they are linked via roadway etc. Lots of options but if you let the enemy come back late in the frame and close a key friendly location it will be all for nothing.
Orange lines are Italian states and indicate which bridges that are linked to each states railway marshaling yard location. So if you are going to close and capture that important location you need all the bridges in that state down as well. Those are tough ones.
You guys are right but I will adjust to indicate that you can string a series of closed locations together to an open allied field.
