<S> all!
I will update this post this coming week with more detailed info. Here is however a comparison of max speed and sustained turn ability at the sea level. (50% fuel, WEP, no flaps). I currently do not have info on the Typhoon but will add it once I do.

As can be seen the German planes are generally faster than the Spitfires, with the 109G-2 and 109G-6 having nearly identical speed to each other (same engine). The G-6 has better guns while the G-2 is slightly more agile. The A-4 has the heaviest firepower with 4x20 mm, and has been fully remodeled. The Spitfires are also fully remodeled and the Spit LF Vc is better suited than the Spit IXa for low alt dogfighting, while the Spit IXa is superior at high alt and can easily run with the German planes above 25 000 ft. Both Spitfires out turn the Luftwaffe fighters, although the Spit IXa is fairly similar to the 109G-2 if the latter uses 10° flaps. I believe the Typhoon is out turned by the Bf 109G's but not the Fw 190A-4.

Hi Robert,

Do you have any roll rate comparisons handy? This is such an iconic matchup the more info the better. Should really sticky these in separate entries.

Robert, Can you explain the discontinuities in the Spit and 190 speed curves? The 109 curves look as I would expect.
