Darn, the collision must have been with the very wingtip of the bomber. Sometimes buffs are hard to avoid when closing at over 500 mph TAS

Thanks for the video Robert. I believe that was a few of the 352nd chasing Gundoc. Nice work keeping us off him. Hate to let a bomber escape but you guys kept the pressure on. Red broke his wing diving away from a couple defenders. Bad things happen when you get the Messerschmidt diving over 500mph

Rgr sir, made for a thrilling chase for sure. Yep the Schmitt' can only dive at 487 mph before wingbreak. Also a big <S> for putting up a furious resistance with small numbers. Destroying those bridges in frame 2 apparently messed up German fuel transports.
