I'll second zinhwk's post concerning the 109K4 20mm variant. She's a pretty potent fighter with the 20mm and she has more shells for the 20. The last time I flew the 30mm variant, I might as well have had bowling balls as ammo for the cannon because that's about how well the 30mm shells performed damage wise and ballistically. She seems to hold her own against the ponies at high altitude as long as you keep her fast and don't try to turn with them.

Basically the high alt fight with ponies will be decided by who is first to get sloppy. Not many kills, but it's funner than hades to watch those allies get all worried about somebody being higher than they are in a capable plane.
