We need to close 22 fast .. they may use Hurricanes there to roll at T+0. Either way it needs to be closed. Also, G7 at 4.3.2 will need to close. What I am thinking is a strike group from G8 or G9 move north at T+0 and work on closing the field G7. If 7 closes it will force them all to the north along the coast.

Bombers.... I would like your input on closing the wellington (L2) (9.3.6.8) base... is it possible and if so, how and what do you need? If its to far then S22 and M62 will push them back even farther east.

Boats are worth the most points but where are they and is that an option?

Also T56 is listed as Town with a field. Question can these be used a bases of operation?

Please post any thoughts or ideas. My time is limited this week but will check in when I can.

Horrido! Ooooh sah sah sah!

Dunno about L2, Dart. Long time to get there and we would have a hard time closing without lottsa escort and a sweep and...... Besides, if they use it for heavies, they will be long gone.

The F22 option seems a player, but will require some escort, as it will not be like Fr3 with most enema lites up north.

We ( puny buffs still here) had good practice Fr3 hitting the critters using our laser-guided nord or basic dive bomb. Points are still with the boats, but the critters add up faster than closing a field and maybe a few pts there.

Let's get Cool, Musky and Gofly look at this.

Question for jabo - Are T56 and T53 fields one step??

T56 is a functional "Town" field, as is our T53 field. They have bombers as well as fighters available. They landed then launched some bombers at T56 last frame, not sure if any fighters landed, but I have to wonder if it was overstepped at some point...maybe not.

Oshix scouted for quite some time before coming across a freighter, with some general suggestions by jabo once he got close. Any ships were reported singles. Seems they tended to be closer to the coast than the previous frame. It appears there will be no convoys as in the past series. Jabo ;) says it is too dangerous for convoys so singles are trying to sneak in, fwiw.

Gummy-san...I must disagree with your assessment of the L2 strike.

And my reasoning is simple...

You all blew the chit out of the south, in shocking fashion. I wish (and said it on TS) you and the Night Stalkers all were dedicated Axis players. I think an escort step going with you over the sea to 2 can make minced meat of the field. And I would be willing to bet a toe there would be no "enema light-pukes" defending the field.

Horrido! Banzai Sakai-san!

Decent points there, but that sucker is really big for 4 or 5 buffs ( as good as we are, heh heh).

- L2 is far away. Long time if you are a lite puke ith short attention span, just joking.
- The sneaky, skilled mercenaries that the Stalkers and Nomads are is an advantage if we go low, fast and pop at the last minute. Downside is there are some big acks there and we are gonna get hit. We got hit on Fr3 by wimpy ack and were able to continue blowing up things.
- L2 strike is a one-time, "all in" doofer. Our survivors might get back home, but war is hell, heh?
- I like closing F22 ASAP, but I can not speak for the other strike weebs. We have done well so far, just like last series because we seem to think alike and do not need to explainthe fine points to each other. And as strikers/buffs we can take a joke.
- I have a feeling thet Daryl is gonna come outta L2 real heavy. But he will demand beacoup escorts and such. So we might be able to get into F22 low with a few flights of 'scort while the gorilla is cruising west up high. Then survivors might fly another mission.

Let us look at it and when Cool and Musk get home from work they might look at the possibilities.

looked a little last night, first impressions are that L2 might be doable if we can loiter and utilize all our wingmen and all the ordinance.

other first thoughts are that the tanks down south at 10 are sitting ducks if we can launch from 9.
heavy 110s or even stukas... perhaps even one strike pilot with 3 stuka wingman could do some damage before the allies arrive.
(but I wouldn't want to take away from the L2 raid if that was the plan) Obviously it would make sense to fly from Crete.

Horrido!

Looked again and still don't like L2 as the primary strike tgt.

That Wellington ain't as fast as or JU-88's and we carry bigger and more bombs. Their Mitchells are tougher and better armed. They might be faster, too. I feel the Brits would not be taking many of the Wells due to their point count and speed/bufftuff.

Cool is right about their vehicles near G10. We may be able to get a lot of them if we have just a few friendly lights hawking the fight.

L2 will not be planned...

The two forward bases of 22 and 7 will be a priority to close then the GV's after that.

I will look into any further options of defense for our fields.

Bombers .... let me know if it is possible after 22 and 7 are dead, if 62 is an option or would you prefer to attack GV's the rest of the frame.

Also ... do any fighter squads have a preference of the 109 light fighter or the MC200 strike aircraft?

I will try to get orders posted by Saturday.

Sir, the 23rd prefers the Bf 109. Imho, the Mc200 fm isn't ready for primetime. Although it can carry ord, it's model is just too twitchy.

What about trashing Tobruk and its suburbs?

Its a blight on our Axis map.
