what are you using to open this?

I use a program called GIMP w/ the appropriate DDS plugin. To use it you simply copy it to your Warbirds main folder (or for Mac your /Applications/YourWarbirdsFolder/Contents/Resources folder) and the map just replaces your ingame map.

I was told the original version I posted did not have Frame 3 markings. I have corrected that. Please download again.

The WBs program uses .dds files for maps. In order to "open" it, I happen to use a program that converts a .tga file (screen shot) to a .jpg file. But, in order to do that you have to install the file by "copy and paste", then start WarBirds, enter the S3 Arena, and grab a screen shot of the displayed in-flight map.

Pilot reports have it that Jabo actually places the various mechanized units where he put the hexagons on the map. Handy to have, occasionally.

WTF?

How come the official KC map on the S3 site does not show who owns what? You know, the frog and pee stain colors for bases and all. Seems like many tgts are gold versus green, so hard to tell who owns what.
