I tested the kate with a 800 kg bomb onboard. Good rate of climb, it has a bombsight...I happen to like flying in the flight envelope of our escorting zeke's...AND outside the flight envelope of the enemy fighters.

I have seen your posts on your recent Kate testing. Would you lead the strike on AF (Midway)?
I am envisioning a Combined Group of strikers from volunteers in all the squads to fly strike in the Kates and Vals. Immediate close fighter support will be from the remainder of the 23rd and Luftflotte 6. RCAF will be Kido Butai CAP and 4th will be fighter sweep.
