Wildcat ceiling is ~26 000 ft. As such the 4th FG is discussing about running B5N2 "Kates" at 21 000+ ft to force the F4F's into uncomfortable altitudes. The Zeros should then have a fun time booming n zooming the sluggish Wildcats if they try to come up to our fighters playzone. This also plays to the Zero's advantage since the gap between IAS and TAS is larger up high, which means they can dive faster without compressing.
I got my Val scout last frame up to 22 k...Cap was forced into a climbing stern chase...dive bombed straight down.....might be worth mentioning...our fuel endurance is much greater than theirs?
