S3 Series

After a lot of flying around doing nothing I finally found a fight.
Big thanks to those few Axis guys that did show up.
At the very least you saved me from a long boring RTB

So, where were all the Axis pilots?
After just a couple of losses from both sides I checked the roster and it was something like 50 to 23 in the Allies favor.
Axis turnout was suposed to be:
Luftflotte 6(JG51/TK)-12
475th FG-10
American Eagles-8
The Knights That Say Ni/69th CG-10
Total=40

So, the Allied side was near its mark but the Axis side was a little more than half of what it was supposed to be.

I’m hoping that we still have some people out on vacation.

Sorry for pointing out the elephant in the room, but it’s going to b a tough call between spending time with the wife watching a movie and flying around for hours with nothing to do but listen to bad puns all night…

Pretty much that. Sun is out, kids are home, boss hates your life, stuff like that.

Think we will see more LW aircraft lost to otto than anything else as well....other than that 2+ hours of boredom with about 5 minutes of fun.

That was pretty much a carbon copy of what happened to me... even the statement at the end.

We had 10 guys show, which I believe is about what was expected for KoN.

We had 8...lost one prior to launch, lost one to connect issues, lost one to fuel management prior to hitting the buffs. So we were two light than normal.

Swannee, this was the group that ppeppp kept hitting all the way to mid channel. Saspin came in and hit the same buff I did, Gflyer managed to down the far left one but took all his ammo. So it was a trade off of 1 fighter for 1 buff.

BuffTuff above 1.0 against 4 engine tanks versus June weather?

It's not a hard sell especially since most of the Axis side spent the last S3 doing EXACTLY the same thing. (Waiting in tower to scramble into stratosphere against twice the numbers) for the previous five weeks.

I stayed logged in to the game for quite a bit after my demise, just in case the bomber I was hitting porked the landing.
Paid off. Late in the frame it said I did get the kill on that ai. Not sure if anyone else hit it or not.

dobs the same buff pppepp was attacking over and over that got you when you made you pass on him.. { Hotroc} 4 AE's died attacking him before that and all of us had same results. so that 1 buff pilot was a ACE in a frame..buff tuff set to high in my book

We were in 190's, but couldn't get to 28000 feet where the buff's were. If you had looked down, (and some of you did) you would have seen the rest of the axis. Juice found me RTB and got me as I was on final.

Well, looked like you were saddled up on the Fortresses' 6 there Dobs. Not a good place to be. Slashing attacks or head on passes are much safer approaches, as you well know...

Missed frame one for real world stuff. Sounds like it was pretty much a snooze-fest.
