Question on the new Bomber/GV interface

Saw no kills by otto weinies last night...all otto kills were attributed to human pilot flying the aircraft.

Is this a function of the new interface?

Curious if this is indeed the case.

If I am flying a buff and one of my guns (otto) shoot down someone, I have always gotten credit.

Usually we see kill of XXXX by otto weinies...if a name comes up, means they were manning their own gun.

But now with 4 aircraft tied to a single guy...are they getting kill credit from all their AI wingmen? And the other side of that coin is "While we get no credit for killing AIs"...

I think you are looking at "ack weenies", Dobs.

I do not recall seeing kills in the buffer by "otto", but could be wrong.

Lastly, who gives crap about personal scores? Especially amongst the buff pukes.

Otto is often credited with kills.....just haven't seen otto credit since new interface...hence the questions.

I disagree. In the S6 I am credited with 10 kills over the years (ok, stop laughing now). Only 2 or 3 were me in a fighter the others were my otto killing things.

I never gun and I got credit for killing drclam. This is typical, if a manned plane's otto kills someone it goes to the pilot of that plane. As for the extra AI, no idea. in the past they came up as otto.

Its an arena setting, always been set that way in S3s just not in the MA. You can have kills awarded to otto(ie AI gunners on bombers) or to the player. Considering how easy it is to kill the bomber\strike AI and get credit for it I think its the least we can do for the bomber pilots. If you look at the SITC summaries you will see many bombers are going down as confirmed kills more than half are AI.

So even AI otto kills are given to the guy who has them as their wingman? Just to be clear...

Sorry Musky, should have known it could be an arena setting....
