Hope everyone enjoyed their summer holidays.

We are getting ready to start the new season of S3s in Sept and it looks like we will be getting some new aircraft and FMs from the Skunk Works. We are hopeful they will make it into this year and have planned some events around them.

Also there is the new ability for bomber and strike pilots to man their own drones. It is still in the testing stage but we hope this will allow us to compensate for the dwindling number of these pilots and allow fighter pilots do what they like doing best.

Numbers will be lower than last year but should still be around 120 or so per frame. We will have 6 events next season and have tabled up 8 events just in case some terrains or aircraft are not available.

Here is the initial plan but nothing is set in stone until we finalize at the start of Sept. Just want to get you thinking.

1. Salamaua to Lae; Central New Guinea - Summer 1943
- New Guinea terrain featuring the Ki61 vs P38G matchup.
Full plane list = Ki61b\c, P38G, P40N, Ki43II, A6M3, B25C\D\J, B24J

2. Operation Compass; North Africa - December 1940
- Tobruk terrain featuring the new MC200 vs Hurricane matchup.

3. Spitfires Over Malta; Malta - Spring 1942
- Sicily terrain featuring the Spitfire VB vs Bf109F4\Ju88A4 matchup.

4. Fall Gelb; France - May, 1940
- ETO terrain featuring the new early war FMs and P36 Hawk.

5. Shidens In The Clouds; Japan Islands - Spring 1945
- Japan Islands terrain featuring the N1K1 Shiden vs P51D\B29 matchup.

6. Archipelago War Game; Strategy War Game
- new Archipelago terrain featuring the best a\c in WBs.

7. Operation Crossbow; Northern France - Winter 1943-44
- new Normandy terrain(Phase 1) featuring the P51D\Spit XIV vs Bf109G6 matchup.

8. North Sea Raiders; North Sea - Summer 1944
- new North Sea terrain(Phase 3) featuring the P51D\B17G\B24J vs Bf109G6\FW190A4 matchup.

I'm assuming they are in the order you want them.
Better push back the first two.
Still no C200FM testing (as far as I know) and now major problems with the P-36.
You could us the older P36 3D mold but I think it has CG issues and the wrong cockpit.

Good info. Thats why we put in 3 extra. Plus terrain glitches and delays.

Jabo, Shidens in The Clouds I am hoping you will incorporate the J2M3 Raiden since it was designed as a defense interceptor for the B29s. :)

The next FM update will include a very large number of modifications to almost the entire planeset.

New Airplanes
MC200
N1K1
P38G
Spit 9b

New FM's and Motors
P38 series
P47 series
P51D and B
109 G6 and R6
KI61 b and C
Macchi 202, 2022 and 205

New FM's
109 Series
P51 series

Torque added
ALL FM's

And a multitude of other FM tweaks touching a wide variety of FM's. Every FM has been touched although most only received an adjustment to low speed (below 80 mph) Horsepower.

Jabo, you can cross off the Finnish scenario off the list.
No way to get buffalo or Fokker ready for this season.
Major headway on th P36 over the last two days.
I've also just heard that there will be FMs for both P36 and C200 :D

I havent messed with the P36 FM this summer.

Is there some reason to change what it has right now?

We used it for Pearl Harbor and I didn't get any great amount of feedback either way on it.

The sooner you list the planeset for each event the sooner we can review and tweak FM's.

The S3 events will drive FM development from now until the end of the season.

The biggest group of fighters in need of revision are the 190's. No one is developing datasheets for those AFAIK.
