Saturday Afternoon with no orders is a bit ridiculous.

475FG will just do what we feel is best.

My my are we a little testy here? I started a discussion thread a week ago but there are no suggestions from you? I also saw one of your guys read the orders thread where I asked to meet on TS to discuss but no one from your squad showed up, others did?

As soon as I have the UMM's route you will have your orders - this type of outrage is ridiculous, insulting and wrong.

Dude..you expect people to read a forum to see if their is a meeting? Every hear of email...maybe the one that JABO uses to notify the CO's of the new password for the series..you know the one that has every ALLIED CO on it for the series....

THAT IS THE WTF!!

Totally unsatisfactory ...if you can't do it, don't sign up for it.

Outrageous my ass...

I am not going to stoop to a pissing match here. There have been numerous times that an S3 plan was not ready until Saturday first of all, so making such a big deal out of this, is just childish. I've done it many times before and had some great frames.

I sincerely hope you both have a better day :)

You called for a teamspeak conference less than two hours before it started on a Friday night and use that as some sort of evidence that the 475FG is somehow negligent?

You should have passed your CO duties to someone else in your group.

Dawger, just relax. It is the last frame before our summer break. Except for the bombers, fighter squads should be able to adapt to whatever the CO throws as us. Now that we have a bomber route, you should be able to figure out what the orders will be. We will be based in Western Sicily and hook up with the bombers at 5.7.x. The Spits will be high forward sweep and the 38's (except NS perhaps) will have close escort. The 38's might want to go heavy in case the buffs don't close 117. If they do close it, there are plenty of targets in that area.

Right it is the LAST FRAME before break...and so far we have bombers flying a route with no times...

A change in 475th from High escort to heavy..overnight....and its FUCKING SUNDAY MORNING. I'm not wasting my Day prepping because its the LAST WEEKEND DAY BEFORE MY WORK WEEK.. Frame CO wants to give us targets other then these 3 numbers thats great...

475th will be there...as soon as we know WHERE there is in spatial relationship which makes sense.

"Going to take off...going to climb some..going to drop some bombs..."

Gee wonder how we'll do.

Bottom line if you can't /don't want to do it...DON'T DO IT! Now we approach the last frame of the last S3 with no real plan other than go bomb shit..

I am relaxed.

I remain perfectly calm at all times(mostly). Actually I am being very restrained with regards to this particular series.

Several months ago I told my boys that I considered S3 pretty silly and basically practice. They were very upset with me, stating that S3 is the ONLY reason they pay for the game. It is where they go to get what Warbirds is supposed to be all about, re-creating history.

I am very interested in keeping Warbirds alive and the fact that many players consider S3 the only reason to pay for Warbirds means we have an obligation to make it the best we can. That means a commitment to doing things right.

Since that discussion with my group they have seen EXACTLY why my opinion of S3 evolved to a negative position.

S3, done properly, requires a commitment from all involved. A commitment of time, planning and mutual support in execution. We aren't seeing that from all participants but discussions of the things that are going on are done in private because everyone is afraid of the Gorilla in the Room.
