Post subject:  Frame 4 AAR 4thFG

Our first sortie was a CAP in the 5.6 block and we had 11 pilots plus a guest(*bolok).
We launched from F 89 and climbed NE to our assigned area and since robert was the frame CO, he also was our GCI.
We arrived on station at 26k and I sent Jedijc with wing to scout NW towards F 40. The 475th had already hit their
target and were on egress when jedijc spotted them and shadowed them back towards our area.GCI noted that F80 was swarmed with IJN
so we headed south towards F 94 to avoid the horde. Meanwhile =weis= had a fuel leak and was low on petrol and lost comm so I sent
bombr to escort him to F 96 for repair and refuel to ferry home.
The group landed at F89 and exchanged our drop tanks for 500lb bombs. +bolok had to leave, so we launched and headed for the port at 67.
We had to climb to 13k to get over the mountain range and as we got to tgt, we had warning of IJN coming fast, so we dropped and exited south west.
They were unable to get to us and we landed at 89 with 1 loss on landing, due to ack damage, I think. The rest got reloaded and started back
to 67. Meanwhile GCI was tracking IJN along the coast from Huon Bay down to Dyke Ackland Bay.We waited a few minutes for them to pass SE
and hit tgt again, only to find some KI43s in the area and it was a running battle through the canyons back towards the Coral Sea. Jedijc
cleared billpe and downed one but we lost a bunch in the mele with only billpe and pappyb making it out to land at 89 and stand down late in the frame.
Big<S> to robert for taking the "Big Chair" and the janitors for some more gray hair.

<S> Pappyb, and thanks for the full commitment to executing the battleplan. The 4th showed balls of steel twice at F67 :).
