Ok, This is a Keep It Simple Stupid plan......Were ALL going to hit the port and shipping at 83 and targets of opportunity on ingress and egress. Each squad use a hi/low CAP . Rides of choice with a bomb. Defuse or not CO discretion. Our available fields according to the map at best will make it slightly difficult for 1 wing to CAP it. That being said, field assignments according to step size.. Night Stalkers-100th Field 105 23rd Field 103 475th Field 96 4th field 89 American Eagles field 88 My thinking is if we all stick together we should have a better chance of survival. Feints and deceptions in a theatre this small IMHO would be counterproductive with the aircraft we have to work with. I'd confess to almost any sin for 4 steps of 38's!!! Good luck and happy hunting 1st Lt Skuzzr Clover flight 432ndFS 475thFG |

Hey Skuzz my fellow massachutsien , This sounds a bit like an all or nothing aproach/ has the potential to backfire real bad me humbly thinks. Might want to consider a large portion of our fighters to get high and play cat and mouse with the enemy. Then the NOE guys can be on the ready to go in and hit some stuff when and where we know the enemy is not. Also a superb strike squad like the Night Stalkers could probably choose their own targets, just assign a step or two to provide them with mutual support. Another big factor for us tonight is avoiding being capped down. We will need to rotate our high elements in and out when it comes time to refuel. respectfully submitted, timos |

Quote: If your enemy is superior in strength, evade him. If he is taking his ease, give him no rest. If his forces are united, separate them. Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected. - Sun Tzu, the Art of War <S> Skuzzr. My view: I like the idea of attacking as we've tried to defend twice now and got beaten firmly. However their "big wing" would defeat our "big wing" any day. As such we should avoid flying clustered the whole frame. I think the plan could work though if we go quick all out attack early like suggested, and then spread out our forces to hunt ships/Ai's afterwards while a few steps defend/hide in twr to keep their escort occupied. Cheers! /Robert - 4th FG http://echoesmarketing.com/4thfg/ |

Roberts quoting Sun Tzu???! I didn't know you could read!! lol My favourite from Sun Tzu. "deception is the key to victory. All warfare is deception.so when strong display weakness, when weak feign strength, if your target is nearby make it appear distant, only thus will you achieve your objective. That said.... EVERYBODY hi/low split still attacking 83 and targets of oppritunity on ingress and egress,,, |

Stating the obvious here: Stay out of Dar. Minimize your time in dar. Drop and get out. Communicate. 475th will probably be first ones in..and will try to de-ack the place. Going to climb |

skuzzr, Intel: The other nite i was in the s3 arena to do some looking around. Dewolf was in there. I watched him fly from 82/83 area SE to 1 sector W of the 103 area. He reversed and flew same path back.... at very high alt when I observed him. |

Sure he was getting time to climb, time enroute, fuel burn, etc since he gives that info in a briefing to the 352nd every S3. So guys in the SE might want to look at landing elsewhere:) |

Caution. Field 88 has issues and should not be relied on |

If possible, I would recommend having a GCI for your group. While dar doesn't have the greatest range, they can tell you if if you need to reroute, bandits heading your way, etc. Having one definitely contributed to the 23rd's success in frame II. <S> |
