Here is what I am thinking. This is just for discussions.

Squad Basing:
4th – 3 Steps - F89
23rd – 2 Steps – F103 (Backup basing F105)
475th – 2 Steps – F92 (Backup basing F91)
AE – 1 Step – F93 (Backup basing F91)
100th – 1 Step – F88 (backup basing F91)
NS – 1 Step – F108 (start) -> F91 (mid frame) -> F91 (end) (or F108 if too many bases closed) – B25C

Fighters:
NW Squads
4th, 475th, AE and 100th – Pick rides.
At T+0, ALL fighters lift heavy and drop on 77. Drop and run south west. This should throw 30 or so bombs at F77.
After that, I want the 4th and 475th to cover the port like last frame and AE and the 100th to head SE to cover the 4,1 – 5,1 – 4,2 – 5,2 grids. I expect heavy AI / Knights to hit F103/105 area and AI to hit 94.
Coordinate with the 23rd if they or you need help. As long as 103 and 105 stay open, you can refuel at F105 if running low on gas.
Please provide someone on DAR, I will hopefully fly (since we have so few strike pilots).
As possible, NW squads can engage F77 to close it if the opportunity arises.

SE Squads
23rd – Pick Rides.
You guys are going to need to cover grids 6,0 - 6,1 - 7,0 - 7,1. I would expect to see the Knights and UMM to show up there sooner or later as well as the AI attackers.
IF any of you decide to use the P39 and if things get slow, feel free to attack static ships at 83, 70 or 69 (there are 2 at each) or look for the shipping at 4,4. All of these areas are on AX DAR so you need to stay low or don’t go there.

Buff Mission:

F67 and F83

See below.

Thoughts are greatly appreciated!

lol, follow the white line to its origin SW. We will start out having some shrimp-on-the-barbie.

The white line is the 1st strike and the blue line is the second strike. We need to get to 15K~20K before the mountains so this will give us the room, way out of the way, to get to alt. I am going to run in tonight to get a time hack. I am hoping to come in at 15K and have a step of fighters meet us to provide cover.

I agree it would be good to take out both DAR but do not believe that we can close them with just the fighters. I do want them hit as hard as can be and if follow-ups are available, hit them again but there are too many targets at each (including the tanks).

On the 1st wave, we need to take down DAR and the smaller guns (MG's, 20mm and 40mm) and any tanks possible. This will allow us to go back and hit them again if time permits.

If the fighters can hit them hard enough on the initial strike, I might send the NS with the B25's to try and close if we think its doable.

Also, even though no one likes it, we are going to have to try to stop the AI buff's. If we don't we are going to quickly run out of bases to land at.

You will need to recce 77/78 offline. Up the Kokoda Trail you will see two sets of tanks and several pontoon bridges. If you take any of those out you score points and dont have to bother closing the fields. If you close the fields you get extra points. Its really tight flying between those mountain peaks and if you drop cross ways to the valley you will probably impact your bombs on either side. You have to be in the pipe 5x5.

If requiring an effort to close, maybe focus majority on 77, and have a few gritty veterans only take out the dar at 78? That's way we'll be sure to rack some points at 77 while blinding the enemy.

Just remember that our radar just barely covers the 77/78 area. Any loitering and they will be on you like flys on sh*t, as they were on our sortie there for the tanks first frame.
