Once again the night was full of action and deaths, mostly us. The bombers left from F8 and our fighters from F259. I decided to take the group up north to stay away from the fighters heading east and looking for our IL2s. This prove to be the best route and gave us the edge getting to our target.
With only 10 JU-88s and 5 Knight fighters and our 352nd friends, we turned south toward F256 from F234. we were 10 to 15 miles out from F256 when the first resistance was met. We lost Golfy and I lost my vator after doing a few on my god, I am going to die moves. I turned command over to one of my Knights and they pressed on to F226. Soon I saw in the buffer, F256 was closed!
The group continued to the next target and I did my best to get there myself. I was able to get my bombs out at F206 and soon the other group made it and finished the job. F206 was closed. I decided to take a direct route to F8 and died half way there at the hands of JG-51. The rest of the group tried to RTB to F234 but was picked apart one at a time while en route.
Our last remaining Ju-88 crashed on landing due to structure failure and missing parts. I believe only 1 of our fighters survived the evening. Once again it was a hair raising and exciting evening for us. Thanks again to the 352nd for covering our butts and to our Knights fighters covering us even though they were out numbered.
Coolon, it was a good plan and hope it turns out good for you.
sorry to confuse Hawk, I have frame 5, I was just throwing out Ideas and making sure we consulted you before asking you to do something. Pappy was lead last night So I get to figure out what to do next.
Let me know if you have any wishes or ideas of what type of mission you want to do.
