The Group was assigned to patrol the eastern portion of our sector. We took out the La5s for that task. We found and engaged Bf 109s and FW 190s early on. Engagements were from 28k to on the deck at certain junctures of the Frame. We picked-up a couple of escort requests from the Strike Team and provided them with escort to and from the requested targets each time. The La5 turned out to be a handful for several pilots. Friendly AIs seemed to be reported as going down with some regularity, but it did not appear to be happening in our patrol area.
