Allies: Thank you for your ideas and suggestions. Basing: 23rd (choose either F86 or from two of the following: F117, F144, or F158) 352nd (F132) RCAF (F124-125) Doolittle's Raiders (F99) Aircraft: Each fighter squad should choose the aircraft that can do the job from their remaining inventory. Doolittle's Raiders will be flying the Wellington. Missions: (The first two sorties have the potential of bringing us the bulk of our bomber group points: 35. We hope, with the help of RCAF to do much more.) Sortie #1 Doolittle's Raiders strike 90, 45, 46 taking down the bulk of targets, including guns... RCAF finishes off any remaining targets to close behind bomber group. 352nd provide cover DRs and RCAF long enough to get the job done. 23rd patrol the western side of map for attacking bombers. Total: 15 points Sortie #2 Doolittle's Raiders strike 47, 48 taking down the bulk of targets, including guns... RCAF finishes off any remaining targets to close behind bomber group. 352nd provide cover DRs and RCAF long enough to get the job done. 23rd patrol the western side of map for attacking bombers. Total: 20 points Sortie #3 Doolittle's Raiders strike 43, 44, 13 taking down the bulk of targets, including guns... RCAF finishes off any remaining targets to close behind bomber group. 352nd provide cover DRs and RCAF long enough to get the job done. 23rd patrol the western side of map for attacking bombers. Total: 14 points Sortie #4 (optional) Doolittle's Raiders strike 42, 84 taking down the bulk of targets, including guns... RCAF finishes off any remaining targets to close behind bomber group. 352nd provide cover DRs and RCAF long enough to get the job done. 23rd patrol the western side of map for attacking bombers. Total: 8 points Sortie #5 (optional) RCAF strikes at 5 bridge spans along the front lines. Total: 10 points ************************************************************************************ Axis Basing Squad/Frame/Base 4th - 1) 30, 2) 47, 3) 3 Knights - 1) 20, 2) 36, 3) 110 JG51 - 1) 18, 2) 110, 3) 110 AE - 1) 57, 2) 78, 3) 78 Haze - 1) 30, 2) 47, 3) 3 NS - 1) 57, 2) 40, 3) 110 TK - 1) 55, 2) 110, 3) 9 JG77 - 1) 55, 2) 110, 3) 9 19 Dux (no frame 1) 2) 47, 3) 3 Nomads 1) 7, 2) 36, 3) 110 1st Frame – Knights attacked 52, 50 from F20 2nd Frame – Knights attacked 83, 85, 86, 127 from F36 (Pointed out that frame 4 is basically same setup as frame 2) 3rd Frame - Knights/Nomads combined to attack F139 and F142 from F110 Note: Because we have same basic setup as frame 2, we might expect that the Axis will do a replay of frame 2 and try to attack 83, 85, 86, and 127. Therefore, we need to position the 23rd in the West to counter their potential presence there. ************************************************************************************ Still working on the DTF and times for the missions. Should have them soon. Darryl <S> CO of Doolittle's Raiders |

orders forwarded to our Wing. I believe that we will take 125 as it is a little farther from the border. That leaves 124 empty if 352nd wants to base a couple of steps there. |

Or, if both are assigned to RCAF, you would still be operational if one goes down, right? |

Swede thought that, we are basing at both airfields so if one goes down, we will all use the other. |
