If I can get a reading on what each squad wants to fly, I will
come up with a plan we can use(I hope).
BTW will have our AAR later,

127 VVS would like the YAK9, but we will be happy to do a split squad if you need some Jabo work done by us.

Could be concentrating on some jabo work may be the thing to do. Against the gustav, its clear its very difficult to compete fighter vs fighter unless we get em to commit to our fight envelope of 10 k and under. With good gci, we can avoid their fighter sweeps and go tactical? but, that's just me

Thinking the same thing vslp sir. Tactical sounds good to me....maybe the larger squads can split assignments
and go half and half to cover strikes and buffs.
Gotta chew on that a little.

We did ok in jabo mode but our bombs are so small, that we didn't really get anything. Strafing is ok, but took lots of losses from acks. You might consider a combo strike using bigger stuff to take out acks from a safer alt or whatever and give the lites a chance down low

Salute!

Nomads would prefer more of a buff role, but tgt restrictions make it hard for us to contribute.

According to the rules, ANY AIRCRAFT can attack the critters. But to stay within the rules, we Nomads must find the critters at low alt or maybe support a sighting. That's the only way I can see us taking out pesky acks near the critter formation ( see F141 for example, which has lots there and some ack).

In other words, unless we join the lites and do jabo-style missions, we have to hit ports and the larger airfields and such. The bridge at F141 is prime for destruction, but we can't hit it!!!

gotta look at the map and think.

Gums...

I haven't read the rules but Jabo posted.

Twin-engine a/c can use only medium and large fields.
Equally important to note is that single-engine a/c can attack all target locations and AI ships and tanks.
Twin-engine a/c are limited to the larger target locations and AI ships and tanks. A full listing is in the rules.

So take off is from MAF or LAF
Targets are the "larger ones" + AI and tanks.

Suggest PE2s going in fast and take out acks and then some Bostons follow up
I'd save the IL2 deathraps for hitting tanks with
