The Group was tasked with sweeping the NE part of the Front to prepare the way for the buffs to strike several bases there. Bf 109, Ju 87, and Bf 110 aircraft were encountered, typically with superior altitude to our Hurri IA airplanes. When the Bf 110s were encountered while they were in process of bombing friendly bases, our aircraft could be employed with success. Those aircraft which had altitude on us were able to B&Z almost endlessly with success in staying beyond our capabilities to engage. Straight-and-level the Bf 110s would move away from our Hurris. Late in the Frame it was noted that F-59 had not been cleaned-up by the buffers and our pilots were able to complete the final (4) remaining targets to get the field closure. All-in-all action was much lighter in this Frame than in previous events.

Thanks for the excellent work during the frame.<S>

Almost every time we encountered the Axis, I had RCAF 127 Wing engage and drag them down, then directed you into the fight with superior alt. Worked like a charm, don't know if it will wok next frame as we have a larger front to cover as Yugoslavia has capitulated and the Axis can base from there, also the MC200 (Ki43 will be available for the rest of the frames) only 1 frame for each Axis squad in that Aircraft, it is slightly faster then the 109 but turns a lot better. They have little or no pilot armour as Wildcat proved 2 years ago by getting 8 kills in a sortie with Hurri I's (4 of us) vs. Ki43 (12 of them).
