First off: apologizes for posting the orders on the main forum. WHAT A KLUTZ MOVE

Gentlemen below are the orders for Frame IV. As this series has shown, we need to be able to attack quickly and respond quickly. Communication I believe will be critical to our success. I’m still trying to figure out how to have TS and Vent up at the same time, but I will be on country channel and typing in Caps. I will attempt to do GCI for all.

If I were the LW I would attempt to close F77 and F78 early to restrict our operations for the rest of the frame. Or they may attempt to come up the center and close F12, F17 & F18. In either case I hope we will be in position hit them hard, with the 23rd ,RCAF to the north and 4th , AE and Haze in the south. Hopefully we can catch them in a pincer move.

I also believe that F14 is a bleeding wound that we need to close. After speaking with Darryl we have an early strike to close F14 and F15, and possibly continuing on to F80.

Second sortie will depend on what the LW has accomplished and what resources we have remaining. I would to see us take back some of the positions we lost last frame. Again we’ll have to wait and see what opportunities we have.

ORDERS FOR BOMBER COMMAND:

Dolittle Raiders
Plane: B25C or D, ordinance of your choice. Take enough fuel to be diverted or turn back due to enemy forces in near proximity. Stay NOE until clear of LW DAR then grab alt to 8-10K, rally point is 1.4 area with fighters. Keep escort fighters advised of you position and alt. Depending on numbers send 1-3 bombers NOE to staging point near 15. When DAR looks clear I will send the NOE bombers into the northern LW area, target choice is up to you.
Field: F77
Nomads (augmented by DR)
Plane: B25C or D, ordinance of your choice. Take enough fuel to be diverted or turn back due to enemy forces in near proximity.
Nomads (augmented by DR) basing at F92
Launch and fly NOE to your staging point near 2.0 and await orders to attack enemy posts and DAR, the choice is yours.

ORDERS FOR NORTHERN FIGHTER GROUP:

Northern Fighter Command: Comprised of: 23rd FG and RCAF.
23rd FG your basing will be F2 and F76.
RCAF your basing will be F12

Plane: Your choice as to what is left in your inventory.
23rd FG I need one heavy fighter for immediate attack on F49………hit the radar tent (silver one). Then get out west NOE and hopefully rejoin your group
You are to Rally at approximately 1.4 grabbing alt. Once assembled and DR say they are inbound to F14 & F15, RCAF will take point (locate and identify LW types) with 23rd FG slightly behind for a two pronged attack.
If the LW mass to the north I will divert the Dolittle Raiders until such time as they can ingress to their targets. 23rd FG and RCAF will harass the enemy and attempt to break up the LW. 23rd FG and RCAF set a hard deck and don’t get in a fight with the 352nd in the weeds. We need your aircraft for a second and third sortie. I will attempt to advise if additional LW are coming to your fight so you can exit the fight.

ORDERS FOR SOUTHERN FIGHTER GROUP:

Southern Fighter Command: Comprised of 4th FG, American Eagles and Haze
4th FG your basing will be F17 & F18
Haze and American Eagles, your basing will be F17 & F18

Plane: Your choice as to what is left in your inventory.
I need two or three heavy fighters to strike F47, F46 and F45. Then get out west NOE and hopefully rejoin your group. Also one heavy fighter to strike F62 (make best possible NOE approach.
You are to Rally at approximately 1.1.8, or 1.2.2 grabbing alt. Once assembled you will assist the Northern Fighter Group in repelling the LW, or if the LW come up the middle I will have Northern Fighter Group directed to assist you. You additionally may be sent SE to assist Nomads if needed. Stay loose and be prepared to move quickly to assist. Again, set a hard deck and don’t get in a fight in the weeds, unless you outnumber the LW.

Be on station quickly, with alt. I expect the LW to come to us quickly and for us to move quickly to engage or assist each of the Fighter Groups.

If we loose our initial fields the rules state we move to F10. Doesn't mean we can't refuel somewhere else and continue fighting then rebase at F10. Since F10 is a 4 step base it may get interesting.

All: be smart, take what the enemy gives you. Let’s have fun and fly at least two sorties, planning on three. This is my first shot at the big chair so be prepared for just about anything.

Attached is a map for your use.

I think the rules state that if you home field is closed you have to rebase at 10..... everyone who loses their home field, that is.

"Squads are assigned a homebase for the entire frame and must not use any other base during the night unless it is to refuel and then proceed back to their homebase to replane. If a squad homebase is closed all pilots not stuck in the tower must fly to either F10 or F6 and conduct operations from their for the rest of the night. Any pilots stuck in the tower are done for the night."

So don't get stuck in the tower either.

You are correct Split.
The LW have used up their JU88's so closing a field is going to be harder for them. I eliminated the fields close to the front, and they should hit those first which should give us some time. My main concern is the 190's which are going to be hard to stop. I'm sure they will be noe and stay fast, we'll just have to play the cards we're delt. I'll edit the orders

I believe the map is correct, your main force will start at 87 (it is a large field so it can hold 4 steps. The aircraft at 22 and 89 are to go heavy, NOE and knock out the DAR (silver tent) at 45,46,47 & 62. Those would be able to rebase to 87.

Pappyb, sorry for the confusion. I would like a quick strike by a few heavy P38's (out of F22) to hit posts to take out radar, then rtb very quickly noe back to rejoin your main group. Also one heavy P38 to hit out post F62. At that point all your pilots will use F89. I don't like splitting up groups, but we need to hopefully give the LW something else to think about.

I tried to hit those outpost last night, off line, I found that by setting salvo to 2 and dropping on the tent (silver or tan depending on your monitor) I was able to take them down (most of the time). I never was killed on the first noe pass, but if you try to return it's extremely dangerous. So have them do the best they can and get out west ASAP. And stay noe until off LW radar.

I will not be able to attend and I have not read in detail or studied the map, but I read a couple of responses that referred to re-basing. I don't think re-basing is allowed in this series unless our original fields have been closed. Even then, I think we must re-base to field 10 or 1, (which ever one belongs to the greens).

If I am correct the heavy p38`s out of 22 would not be allowed to re-base at 89

I just received an answer from Jabo, if a few planes are initially based at a different field for a special mission, they base with the rest of the squad at their main base. Just no teleporting from spec op base to main base. ;)

We really need to avoid losing 77, as the Large Airfield is worth 8 points and it puts them in close proximity to 3 which is a town with an airbase, worth 9 points, largest target in game.

Losing 79 would also be bad, it is close to the front and if the LW gain some fields this frame the will probably get 79 and 22, putting a big dent in the middle of the front, putting us on NME DAR for almost all of frame 5. :o

Thanks Beaver, and I'm hoping to have the 4th, AE and Haze in a position to stop the LW at 79 if needed. I'm not supporting the taking out of the outpost to leave them open to respond.
