352nd Navigation Support Dept. Our Group is lucky enough to have several guys who are fairly well checked out on the magic electric box. Pilot -KBar- has created a file for our Group that we are willing to share out for those who are "scouting" for Frame 3. We happen to use a "standard" grid location format.
-KBar-'s .dtf file has all of the subgrids superimposed over the "standard" grids on your tower and in-flight maps. The file allows fairly precise grid locations. This may be of help to a scout aircraft attempting to give out the EXACT grid coordinates of shipping targets. In the above graphic, it would be fairly obvious that the red shipping is at 6,7,5, 5-4. The grid file makes the map a bit "busy", but does allow a precise location. BTW the code for this particular .dtf file does not clear the screen and will overlay any other .dtf file that has been brought-up if the grid file is entered secondarily
We would be happy to share this file out with Allied COs or flight planners for possible use by their scouts. Hopefully, these individuals can share the file with their own members. COs and flight planners are welcome to contact Wolf and a copy of the file will be forwarded to you.
