How about going after shipping and maybe even carriers en force once they are located.

We could use a stacked attack force with the attackers low, say 2000 ft, then stack some protection above them at 6000 ft, then high cover at 15k. The two lower groups could switch positions (depending on plane type) when they get low on ammo if they have not been engaged. Long distance fuel management will be a factor. Good scouting would located the targets faster.

45, 43, 40, 38 39 are all target rich environments suitable for dive bombing, few guns, some have boats and bridges and parked aircrafts.

If you want fighter cover, anything further than F-45 would be "iffy" even using major fuel conservation settings. That is about as far as we could get in Frame 1 using F-53 and F-54 for bases. "Dive bombers" wishing for cover would have to be precisely "on time" or get left to their own resources as at a certain point RTB Only fuel is remaining and the fighters MUST head home. Additionally, at this point, the exact damage model for targets in the S3 Arena is unknown.
