Front moves slightly as the Allies capture most of Santa Isabel Island.

South CV grp TF2 remains in the same area as Frame 1 but is more aggressive to support the move on New Georgia. It is heading NW and should be in range of strikes with escort for most of the frame. North CV grp TF1 is situated close to Santa Isabel Island to support the newly captured bases there and also to attack the static shipping at 7,8,5. It is heading away so will have a more difficult time later in the frame protecting.

Still waiting on the S6 to score Frame 1 but the Allies did well with strafing and the SBD but the small flights of TBDs need good escort as there are lots of zero scouts out over the oceans and if one spots you its easy for them to vector in more due to their long range.

Plane vs Plane combat was awful with the IJN zeros having very little firepower and the 50cal as usual being the monster. TBDs were easy meat without escort though so this is something the allies need to be aware of.

We will be using the MA weapons and plane damage files so that should help some with the matchup. IJ guns will be much better than in Frame 1. We were waiting on the new FMs for the two fighters involved but they are delayed but may make an appearance near the end of the series but its difficult work to get right.

Good Luck

Jabo Sir,

IJN and IJA planes have substantial more range than US Navy blue. They can reach our carriers but we can't escort our strikers. Why not place US CVs in range of targets for US strike and escorts. Maybe moving west to east instead of north/south. The CVs were tactically useless frame 1.

Why did IJN get credit for sinking our CV's? Weren't they destroyed by gun fire?

Not their fault I screwed up on the defensive routines.
