Post subject:  S3 and EMC Planning

As I briefly mentioned before, in an earlier WB life flying as bader-, I used to plan and organise a few EMC's largely to cater for us poor old Europeans who missed out on the big stuff on the S3's due to time differences. Ideas can be applied to both S3's and EMC's although the latter catered more smaller numbers and didn't last for 3 hours, usually 60-90 minutes.

I am quite prepared to undertake a few more but I need to know how these are done, in other words, is there anyone who can tutor me in the planning such as:
events based on historical scenarios
reenactment accuracy
fictitious scenarios
setting up ground targets, AAA, etc.
anything else
I'm sure there's a whole heap of information and I'll be grateful for the help & advice, it might also give those on the eastern side of the atlantic something a little bit more than we have without having to start at 0130 in the UK or 0330 where I am!!
Cheers <S>
Phil

PS: Although a PITA with the timing, the S3 has been enjoyable so a big <S> to those involved in the planning.

Thank you both for the offer of help. Sleepy, let me know where you live so I can suggest a mutually convenient time to Skype. I live in the eastern Med, (Cyprus), which is 2 hours in front of GMT.

I suppose it's best to start from the beginning and tell me how it all works, the 'facts of life' WB style. If I think I can help, I'd be happy to give it a go. As with so many things, only a few step up to the plate, I know this can be frustrating and wearing, but someone has to start and perhaps more can be recruited in time.

I look forward to the next step.

Phil

US central standard time.
Read up on all the dot commands found in the game. Also look at all the settings in .show.
Shoot me an e-mail and I can send stuff.
I've done perhaps a couple hundred of events over the years.

I'm in need or a list of the dot commands. Are they all listed somewhere on-line. I have a very old list but they are incomplete for the use in the S3 Series.

There is a list ( albiet and old one) under help/dot commands. Some are relevant, many without adequate explanation.
I have no schedule but do try and sit in on Thursday night Training every week and am on TS during that time on the training channel. Be happy to met with whomever.
I need to go thru my docs and see what I still have.

ya,
although you won't use 90 % of this but its got some stuff in there. Mostly ones that are labeled <all> or <cm> are the ones your interested in.
IN game .show brings up system variables ( sysvars) which you would use quite a lot.
Being able to set fields to colors you wish and enable planes on and off.
Being able to write some drone routines comes in handy when you wish to run ships etc ( mission editor) and being able to send them to the General an run them.
