Thanks to all that flew tonight and the job well done!
Mission 1
AVG 1&2 flew a distraction mission towards Hanoi, made and broke contact with the enemy, move to the west then south to join the main group at F160. AVG 3, heavy, formed up with the 67 Squadron, escorts, over F158 then headed to F160. AVG 3 decimated all aircraft on the ground wile the enemy reacted to their intrusion. A fighting egress to the south west as AVG 1&2 came in from the north. Radio chatter was hard to decipher but it appeared to be an intense fight. A great team effort paved the way to success.
There were some independent efforts a the eastern fields, F163 and F165 that destroyed enemy ground aircraft and caused the additional headaches for the enemy command. Well done guys.
Mission 2
The entire allied force assemble over F158 and moved west to enielate the remaining ground aircraft at F152 and the other fields. There was stiff enemy resistance to and from the targets but individual valor and tenacity the job got done.
Frame mission of destroying 15 enemy ground aircraft was a success. WTFG!
Up north the enemy harassed the Burma Road trucks but no allied cover was available to stop them.
Flight leads and individual pilots please add your reports to this thread.
