Just for a heads up the first heavy bombers flew their first mission with 5 B-17E's and one LB-30 (early B-24) on April 3rd 1942. ;)

B25c I am assuming in this scenario. 2 or 3 wingman?

By 16th January 1943 the 11th BS had flown 62 B-25C missions and lost only 1 bomber." :o

Yes B25’s can be used for this mission.

Also the p40E can carry a 500lb bomb. And it’s faster than anything the Japanese have.

Not sure if the Hurri1 carries any ord

Remember, parked aircraft is our mission, but taking out ack can only help. A well placed bomb in the middle of their runway could make it difficult for them to launch as well.

Is there a plan for tomorrow? 1st and 2nd AVG are way up at Kunming. But can, as we all can, rebase at closer fields for 2nd strike.
