Frame 3 pushed back a week.

Robert is not able to plan the frame so I volunteered to come up with a plan. Please read the Frame 3 rules posting.

Protect the transports from the Japanese fighter hoards is the name of this game. How to do that is a good question that I have been wrestling with.

I am thinking transports stay on the ground and all fly fighters to weaken the enemy. When a fighter jock dies then they take a transport. I call it "Natural Selection". All transports must launch from F36 by T100 and from F47 by T130 to make it the final destinations. Maybe if they cannot find the transports by T100 they all will go away.

Mission 1; 12 transports, all C47 with 24 troopers, 100% fuel, must fly from F36 to F47. All transports must climb to 10k before descending into F47 to land.

I expect the enemy to cap F47 before the transports can arrive so I need all fighters to converge on F47 and drive them away. I will watch RADAR and vector the fighters onto the enemy best I can. I am a slow typer so voice comms would be a better way for me to communicate. Fighter COs work together and keep the density of the fight upon the enemy around F47. If F47 is capped before the transports can arrive then the transports will orbit up north out of visual range, see DTF file, then dive in from angels 10 and land at F47. Transports stay alive and make it to your destination are the rules for this game.

Mission 2A; 6 transports, C47 with 24 troopers, 100% fuel, must fly from F47 to F20. No altitude requirement for this mission. Launch from 47 went clear and head to to F20 on a course advised by GCI. There will be a holding area north of F20 in case the field is capped. Fighter will be directed to clear the air space as required.

Mission 2B; 6 transports, C47 with 24 troopers, 100% fuel, must fly from F47 to F138. No altitude requirement for this mission. Launch from 47 went clear and head to to F138 on a course advised by GCI. There will be a holding area northwest of F138 in case the field is capped. Fighters will be directed to clear the air space as required.

Missions 2A and 2B will be done sequentially to maximize fighter density at the destinations.

<S>
It must be 6x C-47's and 6x B-24's (with C-87 Liberator express loadout). Also supply pilots need to know that if they ditch or crash anywhere, even on landing, their mission is considered as failed. They are not allowed to drop the cargo during flight but IMO we could drop the flares of the B-24's right before landing just for a nice visual effect hehe. Got to signal those ack gunners that it's friendlies incoming and not enemies ;-)

Here are the rules posted by Nookyb:

Scoring Frame 3:

• Allies fly all 24 successful supply missions: Allies earn 3 frame points, Axis 0 earn frame points
• Allies fly 17-23 successful supply missions: Allies earn 2 frame points, Axis earn 1 frame points
• Allies fly 9-16 successful supply missions: Allies earn 1 frame points, Axis earn 2 frame points
• Allies fly 0-8 successful supply missions: Allies earn 0 frame points, Axis earn 3 frame points

Supply Mission Rules for the C-47 and B-24D pilots
Regardless whether your supply mission succeeds or fails, supply pilots must always clearly inform the frame CO about the outcome of the mission. This so that he can keep the score.

*SUPPLY PLANES- CHOOSE 0 ai!!!!!
* B-24D pilots MUST choose the "C-87 Liberator Express" loadout option with cargo and no defensive guns. You are not allowed to select another loadout, or to drop the cargo during flight.
* If your B-24D starts shooting back at IJAAF planes, it means you have selected an incorrect loadout and must immediately ditch/crash to avoid cheating. It will count as a failed supply mission.
* If your supply plane gets shot down, it counts as a failed mission.
* If you crash into mountains or terrain, or even crash and die when landing, it counts as a failed mission.
* If you for any reason ditch at another location than the target airfield, either due to flying to low or to avoiding certain death by enemy fighters, it counts as a failed mission, but you might of course deny the enemy some kill points.
* Only landing at the target airfield will count as a succesful mission.
* Always clearly inform the frame CO about the outcome of your mission.
* Squad CO's please inform your pilots about the rules above.

Another idea...since the Brits have to come all the way from Rangoon, maybe they could rendezvous with some of the supply planes SW of Kunming and escort them in??? Meanwhile all P-40's go on attack and disrupt the Japanese from Capping Kunming (47)
