Early on we rolled our defensive forces... unfortunately the Loosewaffles attacked (undefended) closed fields that conveniently had brand spanking new aircraft parked on them. I think we lost about a dozen or so (~24pts for Loosewaffles) before attacks were pushed-off to the NE by 352nd and elements of 4th and 23rd.

NS otw to take-out radar at C29 spotted NOE raiders inbound to shipping and port. Elements of 23rd relocated and pushed-off initial wave of 6. Soon there were about 15-20 attackers and 352nd (and others?) came in to smack them down. I believe we lost 2 ships (10 pts for Loosewaffles).

NS took out 4 ships at about T+75 (+20pts for Allies).

Eventually the 4th escorted the bombergroup to target while elements of 4th (P38s), the 352nd, and 23rd remained on defensive duty guarding bases and C47s. The bombers closed 92, 93 and 91 (+45points for Allies). Since restance by that point was very light, I cleared BG to attack secondary targets at 87 and 74. I believe both were closed, although there seemed to be controversy over a gun. That would give us another +15 to +30 pts. I believe we lost about 10 x C47 (~30pts for Loosewaffles)

Meanwhile, elements of 23rd were dispatched to search and destroy. Between 23rd and another group (?) I saw 4 Ju52 kills (12pts for Allies).

Other than the difficulty in defending assets spread all over the map and the fact that some of them were closed in previously frames and hence left undefended, I believe we had a great night.

Point Rackup:

LW:
24 pts parked AC
10 pts ships
30pts C47s
_____
64 pts total

Allies:
20 pts ships
45 pts primary fields
30 pts secondary fields (15 if one not closed)
12 pts Ju52s
_____
107 pts total (92 if one field not closed)

Salute!

Nice job, foo.

Wish we could have found the bandits attacking our closed fields earlier, but sierra happens.

I would request that you "throw the red flag" about the closed field attacks. You know, the NFL coach deal. We can then wait for "further review". DR is about to throw their own red flag re: F74 and the mysterious "gun" or whatever that pervented closure.

Before I go, I wanted everyone to know my jokes about foo-bird.
++++++++++
A man went to Africa to do some game hunting.

While there, he hired a young native to accompany him as his guide.

Soon, a large flock of birds flew overhead and the hunter took aim.

The guide grabbed his arm and said “Oh, no!

These are foo birds and to shoot one means terrible things will happen to you!

The man figured that was only a superstion of the natives and shot one down. Then the rest of the flock returned aand pooped all over him. He hollared at the boy, “I must have some water right away to wash this mess off. The boy said “Oh no! To wash the crap of the foo birdoff means sudden death immediately! Again the hunter ignored his advice, found water and got cleaned off. Sure enough he dropped dead then and there. The moral of this story is “If the foo shits, wear it. ”

Gums sends....

You did great Foo. You won the frame and held onto the lead.
Its always harder for the attacker in the later frames as the defender figures things out and where the points are etc.
There has to be an unpredictable part of this game or it would be like any other equal sides fighting equal sides event. Sure its fair but is it war? Doesnt happen too often if I read history right.
All in all the guys in the S3s know they sometimes are hoodwinked, gang-banged or fighting upstairs against Errol Flynn. And yes it sometimes sucks as a game but it reflects war more truely than many other events out there.

THanks! <S>!

[The photo above wasn't what I thought about the series, but rather in response to Gums' story :) I had a blast - other than getting killed by a rogue Me262 pilot - I request a Lady Luck for that one!]
